You do you. I will definitely hold losing to the likes of Minnesota, Northwestern, etc. against a HC. That’s embarrassing and was before portal days.

I’m not sure I will hold wins and losses in bowl games for or against coaches. Playoff wins and losses and or appearances yes. Bowl games just don’t matter anymore. Players sit out, players transfer out. He’ll last year if we snuck into a bowl game not sure we would have had 50 scholarships players available for a bowl game

They also play the backups more, especially those projected to get more snaps the following season.

think the recruiting momentum helps. Auburn 48 Maryland 27

Is this a joke? Why would that have any impact?

Keionte Scott said NFL prospects and the way the roster is setting up for next season were factors in him making the move back to outside corner in the bowl game and next season.

Guess I'm just a casual.

Should make things a lot more manageable for the AU secondary who will be missing several key contributors.

I am happy that Talia is not playing.

Will help us. I have not seen Auburn win a bowl (in person) in a long time.

Is their backup QB any good? Haven't watched Maryland play at all.

We make back up QBs look like Heisman front-runners.

Maryland QB Opts Out

quote:

Auburn will not be facing Taulia Tagovailoa, the Big Ten’s all-time passing yards leader, when it faces Maryland in the Music City Bowl on Dec. 30.

Maryland head coach Mike Locksley announced Tagovailoa would opt out of the game during a press conference Tuesday. Tagovailoa is expected to enter the 2024 NFL Draft.

This has to be good news for us. Didn't realize that the kid was leaving there as the all-time passing leader.

Billy Edwards is the backup… sophomore who played a little bit last year… 250ish yards passing in 2022. Imagine he’ll get the start.

I guess that is surprising, is he projected to do ok in the draft?

I listened to Locksleys PC yesterday… he mentioned tualia had “decisions to make”… didn’t exactly sound like the draft was a sure thing.

He also said auburn and Maryland agreed to use on field electronic communications for the game… like the NFL. Thought that was interesting.
