That’ll do

Should lock us in as a top 5 RPI team regardless of what happens

I will take the win. That was well-pitched and LSU fought, but I doubt we win many more moving forward with that type of offensive performance.

Every game is different on offense. I don’t like the replay. Looks like the technology is off. The low pitch was inconsistent on review to the naked eye

Just got home. Whole Met was about to explode at that ump in the ninth lol.

4th largest crowd in the history of the tourney got to witness the frustration of abs, a crap time out call as the pitch was across the plate and Jay’s bush league time out delays…all in one inning.
How loud were you yelling bens?

In the 9th I was pretty loud like practically everyone else lol.
I generally like ABS but watching it live it is extremely charitable to the low strike. To the naked eye it looks absurd on some pitches. I’m sure there’ll be some tweaks.

It was awful watching on TV. Not a fan of it, and it seems like of course eveything went LSU’s way on it and I am pretty sure we lost every review lol.

Chase’s first inning K from an overturned pitch was probably the most ridiculous result I’ve seen from ABS. Pitch was well below the knees and ABS gave it to them. The ump tailored his zone a bit after that and was giving the low strike all night.
Bristol had a bad one later in the game too.

Is there any way to find out what color Auburn will wear tomorrow night?
Posted on 5/21/26 at 10:32 am to Bigbens42
How does the public even know if the ABS is accurate. Are we just supposed to trust the SEC?
Posted on 5/21/26 at 10:48 am to ThaiTiger24
The pitch to Curiel looked awfully closer to a strike than what ABS showed.
In short, no.

It seems to show up too fast to humanly alter it but I don’t know how it even works to answer the question. Where are the Camera(s)? How does distinguish between a short / tall battery. At what point does it look at the ball? Front of plate? Back of plate? Listening on radio our announcers were shocked at the first two that went against us

I don't think they anounce that until just prior to game time.

Waiting on word on whether or not they move up tomorrow like they did today. Already told my boss to block off my day and not expect me lol.

Not sure if college is the same, but I was curious and looked it up when the MLB season started. MLB had every single player come in, get in their batting stance and get scanned with a laser and measured manually. Top of the zone is 53-point-something percent of the player's overall height. Bottom of the zone is 27 or 28 percent of their height.
They even measured them multiple times only in the morning so they could get the measurement "prior to any physical shrinkage throughout the day".

It measures it right in the middle of the plate. The plate is 17.5" long. The ball is measured at 8.5" from the front and 8.5" from the back, or the point, of the plate.
