Unfortunately we will. Nix cares and has contributed to Auburn’s football program more than anyone on here and there will still be people attacking him.
There’s a reason we haven’t started a freshman QB to start the season since the 40’s (or whenever it was).

Was he sharp on that 4th down throw

This doesn't hurt at all. Its just more of the same from Gus. Predictable game plan with a hell of a comeback. Just fell short cuz Bo Nox choked AGAIN.
However, Bo did lead us back in the game, just choked when ot mattered most.

Not Nix’s fault he’s starting and it’s not his offense. He made freshman mistakes that we should expect.
Just sucks that he’s out only option. Sucks that he was the best option after several years of the coaches understanding the timeline of Stidham.

Clearly, no. I said overall.

Exactly. We shouldn't have to start a true freshman in year 7
Posted on 11/16/19 at 6:37 pm to TheJones
In year 7, we should only be starting FR QBs names Tua or Trevor Lawrence.

Tua redshirted his freshman year and Lawrence only started because of an injury, which further adds to the fact that we should not be in this situation.

Between our OL, starting a true freshman QB and having Stevie wonder at RB, not to mention of all the receivers only 2 are decent, it’s apparent Gus is an awful roster manager.

We could have Tua on the depth chart and gus would say he's in a heated qb competion vs 2 former safeties now playing qb. Gus doesn't have a clue

Wrong on both counts.
- Tua was a star in the NC game as a TF.
-Kelly Bryant was demoted.

You’re right. I was thinking he played under the new RS rules. So to further my point, he was a backup the entire year getting a ton of reps and didn’t see a meaningful snap until the second half of the last game of the year.

Kelly Bryant got injured against Georgia Southern (I think) and Lawrence started against GT as a result.

He was a backup to Jalen Hurts.

Bo Nix shouldn’t be a starter in the SEC, freshman-senior.

Oh well when you put it that way

Bo passed for more yards than Georgia gained as a whole.
He was not perfect but he was not the problem. Take your knuckle dragging takes out on the coaching staff.

Almost! That is the Gus Malzahn era summed up.

He may have gotten injured, but he started all 18 games in his career there. They just shared PT.

That errant pass and fumble were the problem. He threw it 50 times, man . He will have his stats.

Honestly, it is fine to pile on the coaches, but it really is bad to be slamming the players.
