Not in Alabama

No it shouldnt
quote:So you think it being highly publicized how much money these kids have now doesn't make them a bigger target? I grew up in the hood.. I promise there are people looking for ways to get to them. That was separate from this arrest though. That's something college football in general is going to have to come to terms with. You have kids walking around with lots of money and very little protection.
Bull shite. This same shite was going on before they got anything. Stop making light of it. He was a total dumbass for this and deserves to be severely punished. By the courts and the school afterwards

It was a joke but I’m sure you don’t drink, smoke, or probably even inhale oxygen from the way most of your posts read.

Respectfully disagree with your take on its legality. It’s 2025 it should be legal to do in your home or property. If you don’t like what people do in their homes they pay for that’s on you. It would eliminate so much crime and it would profit this state which is most definitely in the corner of poverty.

He aint getting paid 100s of thousands of dollars. He was hanging onto his position by a thread, and it probably just got cut.
He has been there two years and never a glimpse at getting much playing time.
Anyone precariously holding onto a spot, barely, shows some pretty poor judgement out selling pot, unless he is checch and chong and 2.5 lbs was for personal consumption.

Sure. But is that what he was doing? No. And you know that it wont be used that way and then everyone will want to make it legal in public.
It is the slippery slope that humans love and abuse so much
I could care less if you smoke rolled up bleach dipped poison ivy in your house. But that is not what happen with this guy and not one of our players has been arrested for smoking pot in their living room on on their back porch

Well lanier that would be because it’s more profitable atm because it’s illegal. If they were selling legally it would take the appeal away. It’s not a slippery slope lol many states have done it now the right way and have had zero problems.

Bullcrap. No problems?
Ive been to Colorado. You cant get me to believe in that shite.
And none of your statement has anything to do with my response. He was not caught in his house. He was in public. Having it legal to use at home will not change one thing. They will still be using it when they drive and get caught. As well as using it in pure public.
You guys act like people are going to follow the rules or something

Tony Mitchell was committed to Bama, had similar charges except he also ran from the cops.. 3 years probation and community service.
Barber was a redshirt freshamn... of course he didn't contribute when everyone above him was an upperclassman of a 5 star lol.

Lol nobody does it just in their home the whole city smells like it. And it doesn’t stop crime one bit

They were pulled over on 280 for an unspecified reason.
They had the following in the car....
Two and a half pounds of marijuana
THC vapes
Digital Scales
Marijuana packaging
$1,897 in US currency
A Glock 19 9mm pistol
To Lanier's point, I dont care what they light up, but these fellas were in bidness. And stupid as shat to be driving in a manner to be pulled over, real stupid.
And given the fact he couldnt sniff a starting snap, real ignorant to be doing this. Pack his gear he gone.

Well it isn't legal in FL but we still have parents doing it in their homes with their kids. Giving Kids a joint for cleaning their rooms. I am not talking all HS kids either. Middle school etc. I know because I sat in on program here that talked about it and kids got up and admitted it. Middle school on up and this was back in 2008. Now we have Medical THC stuff here so imagine what is going on...Study the long term effects on the cognitive for daily users. I really don't care if you want to harm yourself in your own home however, but don't involve kids or make others pay for it. Neighbors grand daughter started out with MJ & escalated until overdosing & dying.

Should be all legal
Been hearing that for so long. My favorite comment about the places that have it is, "They are having no problems since they legalized it"

Yeah that is bad. A possession charge I don't care, but this is trafficking.

Plus that shite smells like burning shite. Someone smokes it in my neighborhood and I can smell the stench when I’m out back.
