Anyone got the info?

Some of his perspective on portal and NIL
“So we’ve not chased the portal like maybe some other people have because they’ve had to fit this distinct profile for us. And if you look at who we’ve recruited, primarily they are guys coming back or guys that we have recruited other places that we have genuine relationships with. If I’ve learned anything in the year and a half here, to just cold-call a kid from Harrisburg, Pa., you probably won’t get an answer or you probably are going to have to pay him a bunch of money. And the worst thing I can do as a program is bring a kid here that’s going to go into the locker room and tell everybody how much money he’s making and blow up the entire locker room. I would rather not get the kid than blow the locker room up. What I spend most of my time on now is guarding against that. So if a kid’s here and he’s played and he’s putting sweat equity in, I would nine out of 10 times take care of that guy rather than bring somebody in this program that hasn’t done it.”
Recruiting-
“I think having a standard set there is really, really important. Everything generally starts with the film. You’ve got to like what you see on film … The offer process we have is a pipeline. It starts in our recruiting office to our young coaches, ga’s, quality control at each position to the position coach to the offensive or defensive staff, then me. We try to get through the process as quickly as we can. We have time set aside literally every day from January to December where it’s either a unit watch or a position watch in recruiting.
“Your senior year matters. On Fridays during the season, home or away, I’m watching all of our committed guys from the week before and I’m giving feedback … You haven’t played hard in two weeks, you ain’t coming here if that’s what it looks like. We’ve been able to get some kids turned up a little bit. I think that senior year evaluation is where a little bit of our niche can be … We better be watching senior film, and if the guy that’s committed to us isn’t performing to the standard that he should be, specifically from an effort standpoint, then what else is there out there.”

Interesting approach, I like the thought behind it but at the end of the day what works?

He seems very process driven but also talks about to be successful now a days you have to be adaptable.

Think kinda scares me but we'll see how it works at this level.

I think having signing day the week after the regular season is a "poor get poorer, rich get richer" calendar that needs to change.

I've been surprised by the amount of negative reactions that I've seen on social media. It's obvious that they know nothing about football. They seem fixated on his overall record and don't understand its context. He's going to have his work cut out for him trying to win them over.
Not surprisingly, the majority of them wanted to hire Durkin and I've seen more than a few wanting him to bring back Caddy and other former players.

Social media is full of weirdos. Those generally aren’t people that matter, nor are they ever going to be happy.
