No established big name OC is going to come be co-OC with Gus or Hand. They are going to want to run their offense. It will be someone that is a position coach (probably previously an OC) or someone that is out of work or at a small school.

From the talk of them wanting someone with "experience" it looks like this will happen.
They seem to not understand that experience does not mean it was good experience

Since the OSU guy is out, I wouldn't mind the guy from Clemson. Noel Mazzone screams sinking ship to me.

I can't see how this could happen. He has no OC experience other than being CO-OC for 2 seasons at Clemson

So we hired Gus largely because of his offensive genius and now we are hoping he hires an OC that will protect us from his offensive play calling.

I see Scott as a good fit with great recruiting and experience as a passing OC (albeit in a co-OC role) and someone that Gus can work with without being forced out by the powers that be. But they likely will not buy it if the experience is an issue.

This is it. And it's pathetic. I don't know what his deal is. We may just need a solid QB coach.
