I just followed along on twitter. Apparently it's the highest score ever for the team and matches the highest in the nation this year.
… and the fourth-highest score ever scored in NCAA history

So wait, we scored the 4th highest score ever in NCAA history and didn't even win?

Florida also scored the fourth highest score in NCAA history and secured the SEC title outright.

This is why judged sports are really hard to get into. That's a joke.

Yes, it’s absolutely insane but this Florida team has several World Champions and NCAA superstars on the team. It’s probably the most talented SEC team within a decade.
They should lose some of their top stars to graduation… this Auburn team is still young and we could be the favorite to win the SEC championship next season (esp with Gobourne potentially returning as a super-senior and 5-star and Team USA gymnast Olivia Greaves as an incoming freshman).

+ Auburn at Michigan on March 3 in Ann Arbor. Michigan is currently ranked #1 and defending National champion. However, Wolverines lost to Oklahoma yesterday.

Auburn got the shaft from judges today in Huntsville.

Yea the problem/complaint with collegiate gymnastics seems to be that the skill cap is set too low for the top competitors.
The difficulty and possible score is capped so it encourages performing less difficult routines perfectly, vs. more difficult routines, maybe less perfectly. Would probably be more interesting if the range of 9.8-10 starting scores was more stratified such that every competitor can't hit a 10, or the 10 score cap was scrapped such that gymnasts could get credit for doing more difficult moves.

Our ladies took third overall at the SEC championship meet. Best finish in history and Suni Lee took first on bars with a “10”.

Some idiot Bama chick decided to go after Allie Davidson in comparing Auburn and Bama gymnastics...Auburn Twitter reminded her that wasn't a smart thing to do.

Yeah she talked about Suni having an off day and Auburn being 2nd. However after her tweet Bama was also 2nd in their regional

Now we play in our bracket,,, FLA, MIch, Auburn, Mizz
A lot of regional finals had teams over 198, and we had a final score in the 197 upper range. Got to reach higher.
Just hope they can get the highest finish ever....Not sure what that was in the past, if anyone knows.

Michigan has been struggling lately but we would need a Michigan off-day and a very strong AU performance…

I knew it going in, but my mind still struggles to make sense of college gymnasts favorably competing with/besting the best all around gymnast in the world. I've had it explained to me, but it persists.
