Stidham doesn't have enough experience right now to be very high on their boards.

4th round - Jeff Holland (pick #123 to the Saints)

This one is puzzling. I have a feeling he will move up after he beasts it up at the combine/pro day.

Hell, if he stays there.........we need to go paint the UT rock and get him to stay another year.

IMO...

Davis should go his size, cover potential and run support are a rare, rare combination...I suspect he'd creep up a little bit.

Holland has good size but isn't 1st round ideal. I do believe coming back with a second monster season would get him into the late 1st round.

Russell should return.

KJ should go, but I am hoping he'll want to finish at Auburn differently.

The question is who goes that shouldn't go? Pett? The other Davis?

Man that really sucks, shocked they have Carlton in the first round and surprised Russell is that high.

Russell to me is a dude that's gonna play like 14 years in the league but not win a ton of awards. Not flashy but a damn good player

Pat Sims part 2? Was pretty surprised to see him still doing his thing for the Bengals on MNF the other night.

That's actually who I was thinking of when I wrote that

What's the pay difference for say a second round pic and fourth ? Holland could stay and make a lot more money in his rookie year.

The primary difference is bonus money. Both would probably make NFL minimum salary, but 2nd round picks usually get a pretty nice bonus to sign, whereas a 4th round picks signing bonus is pretty low.

Wait, what? Dude does have long arms and good height. You sure you're not thinking about Carl Lawson last year?

If you're going by his listed height of 6'2, it's wrong.

I've been around Holland in person quite a few times. He's 6'1 on his best day.

And you might think, "What's an inch?" Well one, ask your girlfriend. Two, the NFL draft is often pickier than your girlfriend.

Why? Have you not seen these dudes play? It was obvious Carlton was first round talent. Russell is also graded appropriately.

I hope so. Tired of getting our asses handed to us in DB recruiting.

RD2 bonus money is pretty low but the minimum guarantee makes it preferable. Most teams don't want dead money on their cap by cutting a RD2 pick

Did they not do the rest if the draft after that? I would be very surprised to see Carlson, Tray Matthews, or Golson not go at all. I would think Tre Williams could get a late pick too.

IMO Golson won't get drafted. Tray...I am not sure, but a late pick would be more likely. Tre to me has the tools to play at that level but his injuries this season may turn him into a UDFA.

Curtis Samuel, WR Ohio State, picked by the Panthers in the 2nd round at pick #40 got a $2,833,572 bonus.

https://overthecap.com/player/curtis-samuel/5626/

Corn Elder, CB Miami, picked by the Panthers in the 5th round at pick #152 got a $277,908 bounes.

https://overthecap.com/player/corn-elder/5738/

HUGE difference.

(And, as one additional addendum, Alex Armah, FB West Georgia, picked by the Panthers in the 6th round at pick #192 got ZERO bonus. https://overthecap.com/player/alex-armah/5778/ All 3 players started this year at the same annual salary, but the 2nd rounder's annual salary increases at a faster rate than the 5th and 6th rounders, though they all start at the same baseline in Year One.)

Yes, they do. They will add additional rounds in the future as the guys who run that site work through all of the lower prospects. They have full 7-round mocks sometime after the NFL Combine, I think.
