Jabari needs to learn to finish drives and stop selling for the 18 foot contested jumper. His stroke is smooth, so he makes his share, but he scores 20 a night if he takes the ball to the rack more often and gets to the stripe. That and making better passes are his next steps.

Nope. We shouldn’t let our first loss of the season be a home game.

Agreed we need no home losses. We may possibly get 1 or more but we should be favored in every home game if we stay healthy and keep playing solid basketball.
I don’t think this team has peaked yet. Adding Flanigan back in is just another piece to help this team grow.
We are becoming better at rebounding as a team, team defense continues to get better and better, turnovers have gone up so getting back to protecting the ball will be improvements to be made. Plus the grind of conference play can we get focused for every game plan and every team.
Long way to go.

We are still #6 in the Net rankings. However many teams haven’t played their first game of the week yet. I don’t expect us to move unless someone above us loses.

Alright I’m gonna get out in front of my skis here but oh well... I think this team has a chance to be not just great but historically great.
The defense is literally getting better every night and we just ooze potential at every position on O. Seem to have really good chemistry. It will be interesting to see if we wean down the rotation towards the end of conference play. I think we might need a crushing loss or two somewhere along the way to realize our potential but oh well.
Favorite part of the game last night was when the announcers were talking about the vibe they get when they talk to other coaches about our roster.

The guy calling the Bama/UF Game said the two teams he trusts the most on both ends of the floor are Auburn and Baylor

This team is better than the 98-99 team with Porter and Daymeon. This team is gonna be special.

Wow. All that just for little ol’ me?

Read that Allen Flanigan still not practicing, hopeful he returns for the game on Saturday. IMO he won’t play. Rest of the team is healthy.
Also, @Joshdub on Twitter posted a shot blocking chart. “Kyle Davis is the undisputed Shot Block King in Auburn basketball history (his 4 seasons are 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th in Auburn history).
...
Walker Kessler is on pace to exceed that total without a single postseason game included”

What's going on with him? I assumed it was COVID related?

I haven't really checked to see if someone said exactly whats going on with him. Someone on here said he had some bug, not Covid. I'm just assuming if he isn't practicing, he is still sick or not in playing condition.

I’m pretty sure it is covid protocol. Bruce said he wasn’t going to be specific in his updates, but would try to let the media know of status for games. He later referenced the virus spreading throughout the community. Reading between the lines (and the comment from the commentators on the USC game) I’m confident it is a Covid issue.

And I bet Flanigan is still testing positive.
i.e. the reference Pearl made that its possible he could be back by Saturday.
Usually that means he needs to get that negative result to be cleared...

Bruce is awesome promoting his players. Even talk about Lior today and said he has an opportunity to play professionally for especially being a Jewish American and an opportunity to possibly play in Israel. That would be an amazing story and yet another feather in the hat for Bruce to sell to momma’s and poppa’s.

Without looking it up, was Mamadou the 4th place season?
