Currently #4 RPI and projecting as the #8 seed. Need to win this next series which is doable. Sweep would be ideal. Then do decent in SEC tourney and we golden fellas.

It’s been an unexpected great season so far. Could use some more pitching and clutch hitting but they have done a superb job considering it all as we were predicted to finish at the bottom in the SEC.

Been impresssed how our pitching has developed. 2 get 2 front and back end pitchers that can give me quality innings up to even 6+ was a suprise.

Bright has gotten us mostly good innings up to about 5, but his walks do him in every time. I hoped he would have been a anchor, but he still has helped.

Overall, very pleased. Now it's a matter if they can win the clutch games when they count during any of the playoffs.

Butch did a great job adding this transfer class in last year. He's a really good coach especially from a program philosophy.

He’s doing more with less and outperforming what Auburn baseball likely should be considering the constraints placed on the program by both external and internal factors.

Winning 2 at UK this weekend is a tough task and I’m sure Butch is reminding his team of that this week. UGA and UT found out the hard way… let’s learn from their mistakes.

There is a story that I heard on Friday night during the Bama game. The announcers were talking about one of our relievers who was pitching terrible - his ERA was over 6 - then Butch “put him in the garage” by totally removing him from the lineup for about two months to work on his mechanics. He came back a couple of weeks ago and has been one of our best relievers ever since. That screams great coaching.

We're up in game but it's still very much a game.

Even the series winning 6-3. Need the win tomorrow. Feel more comfortable with Gonzalez and our closers for tomorrow. Hitting needs to pull thru.

A win tomorrow should assure us of a top 4 seed in the SEC tourney.

Any guess as to whether the team will host regional? Probably?

Super regional? Would winning tomorrow and 2 games in SECT be enough?

If we win we'll definitely host. Personally, I think we have a better than even shot to host even if we lose today. On the Supers, our RPI (and other factors) has had us at a #8 seed for about three weeks now, which I think is a bit too high IMO. If we win today and do something like win the SECT or even make it to the finals I think we'd have a shot at hosting a Super. Barring that I don't see how we would.

Win today and there’s a good shot we are a #8 no matter what happens in Hoover.
