Looks like the same issues YEAR to YEAR so far. We're offensively one-dimensional. QB is too slow to make a decision in the passing game. Receivers having trouble getting open. Line has issues pass blocking. Secondary is soft and poor tackling all around. Not feeling great about next weekend.

We finally did a job.

Strategy next week: run the ball, chew up the clock and keep the defense off the field.

Glad to get a W and be 3-0, but we have A LOT to get better at by next week. Not a fan of the game plan for the 2nd half at all. We basically took our foot off the gas on both sides and coasted to a win. This effort gets us beat next week.

Surprised Lee didn’t intercept it. He’s always behind the WR.

To be fair. Should have been over on phantom PI earlier

And by “made a stop“ we mean their QB threw a poor pass

This is a game we probably would have lost the past couple of years though so there is progress. We let South Alabama hang around way too long

This win doesn’t inspire much confidence for SEC play. Dog fights against Sunbelt teams don’t do that.
D play today is well documented, but I haven’t really seen an offense that is going to do much against SEC defenses unless we can keep running it well. WRs dropping balls, not getting open, et cetera. Are we looking ahead or are we still just slightly better?

There was decent pressure in his face, I’ll give us that much.
But man we struggled all day.

Not feeling it as we head into Norman next Saturday.
I heard so much about how stacked we are at WR but it must be a special ops unit, and so we don’t get to watch the results.
