He's one that has to get right quick. Tahaad can't play 40 minutes a game.

You're right. I'm not too worried, but I do have a level of concern.

when? I watched him as much as I watched the play. Bruce would holler, scream, point when we were on D, Steven just stood there. I would watch Bruce go down the bench and coach during the game. I didn't see that once from Steven.

He ain’t burning that capital in a season opener.

The hard-arse stuff will come.

The entire game but no he isn’t Bruce and I don’t expect him to be.

Steven definitely coaches hard. Seems in control. This isn’t the team from the past 3 years. This team was going to be slightly above average in conference if Bruce was coach or Steven.

Steven calls timeouts. That should tell you he isn’t just a Bruce clone.

The fan reactions are about what I expected.

Yea I’d assume so. At some point the guys have to figure some shite out themselves too.

Yeah I ain’t flipping out yet. We overcame a buzz saw shooting performance tonight. Ugly on paper sure but sometimes that happens.

When we shoot it hot we will win. When we don’t we will lose.

Jovic and Bashier have to really improve physically quickly. Gotta protect the ball through contact

I do. Bruce was as great a coach as Auburn has ever had. Steven has seen first hand what works since he was in college...........if not before. Why not try to emulate greatness?

We def have a problem with depth behind Murphy. Jovic isn’t close to ready.

Fragile speedster in a league full of brawlers. He’d better learn quick.

he looked lost out there. He would lose the dribble if somebody bodied him. Their big would just back him down with ease at the D end. I am not sure I would count on much from him this season.

Yeah but the floor for this team is much, much lower than I’d have guessed

Steven isnt the same person as his dad mainly. I think Steven wishes he was more like his dad in a lot of ways. But as a coach he has to do what feels natural to him. He cannot be a stump on a log so if he is going to be reserved he has to be calculative.

You gotta throw the 7 footer in there for 2 minutes each half. He ain’t gonna learn on the bench.

Jovic will take a while as well but he isn’t defending any big that has any post game anyway. To light in the pants, short, and not physical.

I think SWA should probably be the starting 4. Move Hall to the 3 and Freeman to 6th man.

SWA is our best all around player right now

He was very impressive. So was Murphy given his injury situation.

SWA had a nice game. Hall is good. He just tries to do too much. He needs to learn team ball. He has some Baker-Mazara in him where he forgets bball smarts at times.

Considering the circumstances: head coaching change right before the season start, first time head coach and none of these guys have ever played together, I’ll give it a few games before calling it done.
