Deuce will not be a freshman starter even if he comes. Everyone says he's a project. We need a legit p4 qb with experience. The missed field goals and Paytons interception killed us. I'm at a loss. I thought they have turned it around and then the 4th quarter started and Thorne all of a sudden looked terrified. He made some great plays but again made mistakes that costs them the game.

Four win season won't help. Deuce appears to be our best case scenario this year and he's a long term project like White. Portal? Big gamble and will Freeze suck it up and spend the money for the best he can get? He didn't last year and the writing was clearly on the wall with Thorne. He chose to ride that bad train and now we're paying for it.
I think Freeze has bad judgement and is in over his head. He's got two years. But he's about to turn in the worst results for an Auburn football coach since Barfield.

The amount of reads Thorne fricked up on those last two drives that led to the pic is unbelievable. In that interception, if he looked left he had Am wide open in the flat. Again. Just like he missed in the previous drive where he almost threw the pic. His pre-determined bullshite is absurd for a guy that has played as much football as he has.

Exactly. Next year's QB isn't on the team yet, unless Walker White makes major improvements before next season while he is running scout team. Pretty doubtful. And the next QB isn't a current HS target. The next starting qb for AU is gonna HAVE to come out of the portal. Preferably one with P4, big time cfb experience.

Who gives a frick about recruiting when you can’t coach them??? These little shits get paid millions now to dip out year after year to a new program.
A good coach will get good recruits.
Hooker Hugh is a bottom tier ‘coach’ who can sell false hope to the recruits.
And his recruits will eventually be at other schools with better coaches.

Thorne did what he is capable of and I applaud the young man.
You mad, get mad at Freeze for:
1) Having no coaching talent to coach up what he had
2) Not going out and getting better if what we have is not good enough.
Quit fricking blaming these AU players when the root cause is a scumbag hypocrite coach

I think he knows we’d have problems no matter who’s under center. Thorne isn’t good but there’s something to be said about what he has around him. And it isn’t good.
