Sounds like Sammy didn't want to talk about the drops. He should of just said he is ready to work hard and get better.

Why would they even want to talk about that? The media...

That 1.81 ten-yard split from Dismukes is actually solid. The forty itself doesn't mean a whole lot.

He'll ultimately fall a bit most likely on draft day due to a lack of strength/physical upside. He was kind of thrown around a bit at the Senior Bowl.

40 times arent a big deal for centers.

Only thing less meaningful is 40 times for punters and kickers.

I realize that but as the smallest guy, he has a bottom time.

But he had one of the top 10-yd splits, which is a MUCH more important and applicable measurement for the OL.

I didn't see the other 10 yard split times so I only compared the 40.

Seems like this year's OL are a little slower this year than last

I don't know about that. Greg Robinson was a freak last year but several OL including Cyrus Kouandijo had average times. In the grand scheme of things, 40 yard dashes really don't matter for the big nasties up front.

There were 5 guys last year who ran faster than anyone that ran today. Out of the 15 best times put up from the past two years, 10 were ran by guys from last year's class.

The OL class last year was definitely better.

At running the forty... since when has OL made their living by running the forty?

Let's be honest here, nobody is expecting Dismukes to be an athletic Center. His mold is that of a Jeff Saturday.

It was a better class overall. Better athletes mean better overall prospects. You don't see many real high-end athletes in this year's class. It wasn't just Robinson last year; you had Taylor Lewan and Jake Matthews who also tested as top athletes...better than anyone today. Even Seantrel Henderson was freakish athletically (ended up starting at RT for the Bills all season). The top guy in this class (Scherff) is an OT/OG tweener who is known more for his road-grading/nastiness than he is for his overall nimbleness.

Even the Bench Press performances this year were fairly weak.
