I realize that but as the smallest guy, he has a bottom time.

He's squatty with shorter legs. He's quicker out of the start, but those taller guys with the longer legs/strides will go faster on the back end.

Reese Dismukes best or second-best among centers in all six OL tests today. More from Indy.

A friend of mine's son won the Remington about 15 yrs ago and was considered by far the best center in the draft. He went in the second round, which was high for a center. Dismukes wont go that high, but will be drafted and play for several yeats. Center is unlike most any other position in the NFL

There are a number of teams (two, the Chargers and the Saints in particular) that are eager to draft a center in this draft as well.

I think a C from Stanford went in the 1st a few years ago

Eta just FYI. I expect Reece to go in the 3rd most likely

I was really surprised he didn't break the record. he'll probably go run a 4.3 though.

@JamesCrepea: Sammie Coates runs an unofficial 4.43 in his second 40. 4.45 in his first. Official times posted later today.

Coates didn't look nearly as fast as I expected. Looked like a "train for the 40" issue not speed though

Lot of people think Coates just ran himself out of the 1st RD. He needed freak numbers for consideration and he just didn't show it.

Donte Moncreif put up similar numbers minus bench press and went 3rd rd despite better college career

I think his hand drills will have more impact than anything. Everyone knows he has the measurable but no one wants a fast guy who can't hold on to the ball.

Yeah he is probably third round. He needed an official time of 4.1 or something lower than that.

Did Sammie get hurt? I've only seen him catch one pass so far..

ETA: he's not hurt, but I didn't see him do the "over the shoulder" drill

Yeah, he claimed he could run a 4.3 and that performance would have helped his case despite his stone hands and his tendency to disappear at crucial points in ballgames.

He just ran the Gauntlet and caught every ball. That was the drill I was most nervous about
