Football - meh
Baseball - one of the top two worst teams in SEC
Women’s softball - haven’t heard anything about them
Women’s basketball - one of worst in SEC
Men’s basketball - self-imposed tournament ban but wouldn’t have come close to making tournament anyways
Women’s golf - yay!!!

How old are you?

2012 football: 3-9
2012-13 basketball: 9-23
2012-13 women’s basketball: 19-15 (this one is deceiving because the schedule was a joke OOC)
2013 baseball: 33-23
2013 softball: 30-23

Covid conditioned me to care less about Auburn sports. We were a 2-3 seed shoo-in but when low priorities and inessential luxuries were axxed on the chopping block, my energy had to be redirected somewhere else. That made this last school year season more tolerable. If we continue to suck I’d expect my strong rhetoric and expectations to decrease even more while overall apathy to increase exponentially. But I don’t remember a program being this shitty from top to bottom. I’m guessing USCE has had a few, but even Miss State, Arkansas, and Vandy can hang their hats on at least one fall or winter sport

Thankfully I was overseas that year. It was 2am when I watched A&M name their score in the first half and didn’t watch a single second for the rest of the year.

I have been a lot more European soccer than I used to - I now work from home most of the time and the games often come on during the afternoon. Just trying to find ways to get my mind off of how bad Auburn has been. I am a Cubs fan too but they have sucked the last few years as well.

It's a fair point. The year prior we were touting ourselves as an Everything School b/c we were kicking butt in baseball, basketball, and we had just beaten bama in football. It's not so much that the program is in the worst shape its ever been (that's debatable and probably not true), but compared to where we were previously, the drop felt tremendous. Within a span of weeks it seems like everything changed.

The Georgia & Bama games were the most depressing things I've ever watched

I've been deep into it since the mid 90s, which most people find hard to believe

Women's BB.........worst in the SEC
Women's gymnastics.didn't even play
Women's volleyball.didn't even play
Womens/Mens S/D.... horrible

Thank goodness for some of the women's teams... Women's golf won the SEC and the Equestrian team won the SEC..

I;m looking forward to a rebound year in 21-22...

I'm the same way. Haven't cared about sports even close to how I used to since last March. Wasting a very good Auburn basketball team when the tournament cancellation happened almost broke me. Then as soon as we followed our incredibly mediocre football regular season with the November news of a self-imposed tourney ban.. I was done. Been a slog since then. Ready to get excited about sports again in 2021 though.

Fresh blood on coaching staff will be the rejuvenation we need in football, but 2021 season will need copious amounts of perspective. If not for Pearl, I’d probably be lost because I still want to have some kind of hope.

Btw I didn’t take one vacation last year and worked countless OT hours. Got dang had to pay federal and state taxes and us poors don’t like that very much.

I’m surprised people pretend to care about anything other than football and basketball. Like you can sit and watch a women’s basketball game

I can handle softball if we're any good. It's actually a good bit more fast paced than baseball.

I can tolerate baseball. But that's where my stop is...
