Hopefully we go out there and give it 110%!

Just do what we do and we will be fine at the end of the day.

last year we looked worse in game 2 against a worse opponent.... the game in starkville last year is probably the most miserable experience I've had in a stadium... outside of maybe 2006 UGA.

Scouting report from a football player:

"They've got two NFL-caliber defensive linemen.... And the rest of the team sucks."

Looks like the scouting report on AUs defense.

I'm not worried about Ark St. WSU runs an offense that is difficult to prepare for and making it the 1st game of the season with a brand new scheme on defense made it that much more difficult. Their strength on defense is against the run and breaking in a new Qb while leaning heavily on the running game made sustaining drives more difficult than it normally would have been. Ark State does not have the same talent level as WSU and their strengths do not cause the same type of problems that WSU's did.

Close early but we start to separate from them halfway through the 2nd quarter on our way to a comfortable 45-20 win.

Stopped reading there. If there ever was an abortion of a season, it was 2012.

As long as our defense is out there flying around and making plays, we'll be ok.

Good read on Corey Grant.

Hope he continues to show that speed on the outside.

But seriously, good read. Malzahn kept this gem he had in Grant completely hidden.

He had to sit out 2011 and was banged up for most of 2012... He got healthy and got a few carries late in the year, but when your offense was as bad as ours there werent a lot of opportunities.

He would've been better than Omac up the middle.

He was banged up but from my understanding, it has more to do with the style of runningback he is. Grant isn't the biggest guy and he played well in practice but he didn't show the lateral ability the coaches wanted.

Also, Tre Mason did well last year and Mike Blakely is probably the runningback who had the most potential of any RB on our roster since Ben Tate (he just threw it away)

There was some Bunker talk about two things that played into him not getting any meaningful carries by the old staff:

- Playing favorites re: sour grapes about him originally signing with Alabama
- The coaches doing everything they could to up OMac's draft stock, fairly or unfairly
