Texas fans are starting to catch on to Hand. Won’t be surprised if he makes another lateral move soon

Been reading the Texas board, sounds like Herman might want to go in another direction with most of the current coaches. DC has already been fired and they are looking into Graham Harrell.

Big news on Phillip Webb

Per KN, he’s no longer taking an OV to Auburn this weekend. KN says it’s mutual as Auburn is going in a different direction

Very interesting, IMO, to find out where Auburn is focusing effort right now. KN says Auburn likes it’s options at that spot

I was on the bandwagon and wanted Webb but i gotta say, I love the way we handle recruiting now. If a guy doesnt want to be here, we move on. Love it!

Yeah. My take from how KN posted it is that Garner feels good on other guys.

Except for Javion Cohen. It's like that flip is happening in slow motion.

In fact, Webb and Cohen are both microcosms of both lines' recruiting over the past few years. We moved on from Webb because we can (or assume we can because we assume Garner has a plan). But we appear to be stuck with Cohen's bama flirtations because we don't have an alternative.

But to your point, I do prefer the Webb situation of just moving on as opposed to whatever's going on with Cohen. There are already some upset AU fans out there and he hasn't even flipped yet (and may not, who knows).

Cohen got offered late by both Auburn and Alabama, despite being in state and both needing OTs. He’s just being a kid and having fun with a tough decision.

The only thing that’s made this dramatic are the petulant adults that follow this kid on twitter and post every tweet he makes. They deserve the turmoil they seek

Boobie isn't an every down back in the SEC. DJ needs to bulk up. Joiner will probably move to our hybrid TE role. I would expect a healthy dose of Tank, MAR, and DJ next year. Boobie will play, but he may end up like Kam by the end of the season. MAR and Tank are just too talented.

Seems a lot have forgotten about how big a get MAR is. He could very well be a Kerryon clone before its all done.

Yes he is. Needs to work on ball security and catching out of the back field

I don't think it would be a shock if Boobie decides to go pro. Depending on how he tests he could get drafted late. Rbs have a short shelf life, he already gets banged up a lot, and I don't think another season would improve his stock that much. Add in the depth chart at RB now and I think there are a lot of reasons for him to consider it.

Too slow for an early entrance to the draft. Plus aforementioned ball security and pass catching issues

4* CB (JUCO) Brian George confirmed his OV to Auburn this weekend. He said he made up his mind after the iron bowl visit.

I’d imagine he’s in commitment watch

Thats why I said depending on how he tests. He doesn't look slow to me though. I would guess he runs somewhere around a 4.6 which is plenty fast enough. Ball security is def an issue though.

I think Brian George is a lock at this point. I think we are basically waiting to see whats going on with OL (Cohen, Buskey, Flax, transfer) DL (1 maybe 2 spots left), Tisdol, Pegues, and a QB. Everything else looks set for now.

I don’t follow recruiting a ton, but how are we mutually parting away from a guy with an offer from every SEC school and 44 total offers? His offer list is insane.

Not really....despite being committed to AU he tells reports he's 50/50 au-bama and post more bama stuff on social media than AU

Auburn definitely wants him. But it’s clear he’s not coming here.

We’re less than two weeks from NSD and I’m guessing Webb and the staff had an honest discussion about where Webb is focusing and decided to spend that time and energy elsewhere. Webb’s family and Garner are close so I’m thinking it was out of respect to Auburn’s effort there.

OVs take a lot of time from the coaches and if they know Webb isn’t choosing Auburn then they’re better off spending that time with other recruits on campus. This is our biggest weekend left so time is precious.
