I just saw where OT Carde Smith decomitted from USC and holds an offer from us. Could we turn it up on him?

He decommitted from Auburn a while back in what was described at the time as a mutual parting

Isaiah Gibson coming to visit this weekend. He and Justus Terry both committed to USC out of the blue, then six months later both decommitted about the same time, must have been some short term money deal to build hype for the class.
Nut cuttin time so they must be playing us to see if they can milk a few more shekels out of the Dawgs. Surprised they dont ask bear alexander to come with them.

I really hate that his dad is going to have so much influence over his career. I think he's really talented, maybe the best QB in the class.. but I just have a feeling his dad is going to micromanage him and cause problems.

You're right, but there's a fine line between looking out for your kid and being a helicopter parent.

I would not term him a helicopter parent. I think he is more of an agent for his son. It could interfere with his kids development in the future.

A lot of guys have actual agents now. I’ve said from the beginning - I don’t really mind his dad being involved. Juju is a junior/graduating HS early.
Juju and his dad didn’t do many interviews. Most of what we have heard is second and third hand, and I’m personally not willing to put much stock into it. I think dads get shite for being both absent and over involved so depending on the scenario, there’s always gonna be someone critical
