There’s seems to be a world where Auburn takes Goodman and Babalola.

Supposedly Dice has communicated with Babalola so I wouldn’t be worried if Auburn just lands him.

Want them all in the boat. Wa are about to showcase that we are not afraid of playing freshmen. Show up ready to win your spot and you will see PT

Didn’t say we have been in it. Just saying if we miss on Marshall we will turn to either and see if there is any interest. Plus $$$ says a lot more than words. Be late season December type decisions. Just remember these posts if we miss on Marshall is all I’m saying

Not recruiting related, but since this is the only pinned thread and I'm making a talent observation... watched the Brayden Joiner interview and that guy is very confident that he is one of the best on the O-line, and he thinks the coaches agree. Maybe he's higher in the pecking order than I realized. He has been forgotten in the O-Line revamp project, and I honestly assumed he was overrated since Harsin was able to secure his commitment.

Most likely it is a playbook and scheme issue for him over talent. Don’t know where he will end up in the depth chart this year, but like most big freshman, I doubt it is his ability that is the reason he may not be starting. Who knows, maybe by mid-season he takes over at guard if we struggle.

To keep it recruiting related, in the 2023 class Joiner, Cobb and JC Hart are the only Harsin commits that project to play meaningful snaps going forward. The only other candidates are Love, Clay Wedin, and Darron Reed (huge disappointment). Of those, Love is still within striking distance of doing something at safety. Many of those guys may have committed during the Cadillac interim. I know Darron Reed did. But that signing class was on the verge of being an all time bust class before Freeze showed up.

Since I was looking at it, 2022 is meh, mainly due to the transfers and Juco pickups. It kept us afloat but doesn't have any game changers except for maybe Scott or Alston (Alston is more hype than production to this point).

2021 is well documented as the lost class. Jarquez is the lone remaining representative. Looking through that list and saying "who?" a bunch. I'm disappointed Garner Langlo didn't work out. If you ever saw a pic with him and the rest of the O-Line, he really stood out. Must have been very slow.

In conclusion, Harsin sucks. And it goes beyond low rankings or lack of retention. Most guys failed to live up to their ranking. So our bad signing classes were actually over-rated.

Joiner got some early fall camp praise. I was also a little surprised

Both Freeze and Thornton have talked about him reshaping his body. Pink commented on their show the most dramatic change in a player was Joiner.
I saw the interview you referenced, WOW. He said he has lost 51 lbs. Even his face, he looks about 5 years older.

We have a lot of linemen who can step in, some at tackle, but especially at guard ,and Im sure a lot will be rotated in given the depth.

Edit: I should elaborate, when he said he had lost 51 pounds, he said he is down to 308. Keep in mind the roster weights are back in spring so he has obviously lost another 20 lbs in the last 5-6 months.

He’s putting on a show. Tyler Atkinson is a grown man out there as only a junior.

Sidenote, we just got a Fong Bomb for Nate Marshall to flip to Auburn.
