I think Smith might wait longer unless he just gets the itch to flip. I mean we need wins a running the football could be a strength (remember this I said could be a strength). But I figure he would watch to see what kind of offense Freeze puts out on the field. You have to think Thorne being a 4 year starter he’s gotta throw it at least 30-35 times per game if not it’s gonna be tough to flip kids. IMO

Freeze has always thrown the ball more than last season, and Thorne threw about 140 more passes before he got to last season.

We have the receivers, we have the line, hopefully our running backs dont run right past blitzers, and we have someone who can hit the side of a barn if something happens to Thorne for a couple of plays.

Its gonna be a fun season, mistakes, probably a good many with so many young people playing, but its gonna be fun, not the sheer torture of years past with a timeout to strategize a play......and then run it up the gut for no gain.

I thought Britt was headed to Arkanas.

I could have sworn he was a top 10 kid when the initial 2026 rankings came out and now hes a low 4 star.

He was like 14 at the time to be fair. I don’t think he’s the physical freak now that he initially looked to be

You’re probably right. Was told today he doesn’t have a commitable offer.

Jamichel Garret is a name to watch though.

I heard signing day 2026 will take place next July instead of Dec 2025. Is this true?

Why bother? Seems like we ate letting a fox in the hen house.

Unless he’s our fox in their hen house. He’s a double secret fox.

Can’t concede commits to other places in the age of NIL.

Actions mean more than words. If he’s at big cat he’s not 100% committed to Bama.

It’s why we get nervous when our guys say they’re locked in but still visit UF

Is this confirmed?

EDIT: Just checked and it is. CC claims there will "be no flipping" though.

More & more smoke about Derick Smith, would be huge because the guy is a monster.

Also would lead me to believe Alabama was in fact offering bonuses for commits to get some much needed momentum.

Derick Smith to alabama came out of absolutely nowhere, it was a bizarre commitment.
