Do him and Juju have some sort of connection? According to 247 Bama's QB is much higher rated than Juju now.

Anybody else feel like when/if Colorado and USC struggle this year the reality that Auburn is the best available option will become obvious to juju?

Auburn has a lot to prove on the field themselves.

Can say that for a few teams we are in battles with this year. As it seems always is the case with us recently, we absolutely need a strong showing on the field this year. Have to look very competitive to keep building momentum and add validity to what Freeze is selling.

Bama needs to show very little drop off. They still have the aura around them. if some concrete doubt that they won't be the same bama starts to show, you'll see some movement in their recruits.

As you mentioned, same with Colorado and USC. Lot of unknowns for everyone.

With NIL, just like in the NFL, college football is now all about the QB. If White is a long term project, we sign another long term project and have a long term project starting, it's hard to see Freeze succeeding here.

Unless Hank or Holden get significant playing time this season or they feel great about 1 or both whoever we sign for this class I think we go get a 1 year stud QB in the portal. We will be very young on the offensive side of the ball next season so might have to get a henchman for QB regardless. If Holden or Hank were to get playing time and ball out then probably no portal QB.

As long as we have a decent season (Winning record) our roster should be good enough now that we can go find a QB worth paying if we aren't confident if our guys. Shouldn't be much of an issue,

If we end up with KJ though, even though he's small, he also had a pretty solid elite 11 so its not like he's a scrub. He's just small.

Convince him he's the missing piece. Do you think kids that talented think they aren't difference makers and aren't program changers?

Freeze always has a few tricks up his sleeve.

We are also in prime season for kids to try and leverage everything they can for NIL and be a little bold. Just like last year, the closer to signing day, reality will start setting in and what NIL will really look like beyond the promises will start to come to fruition.

Have any of you watched these "a day in the life" videos on you tube. I watched the one with Perry Thompson. It is summer so no classes.

He spent two hours in the morning running routes. He then went to work out with weights.

He is coming back from lunch and Walker White sees him and says "did you get my message, Malcolm and I will come over later and bring the white board and go over what we did today."

He obviously had direction from the coaches to be certain the summer enrollees are in step with the guys who went through spring. Perry will play early.

If you watch his high school tape its obvious the coach has said screw the low percentage long balls (cause the QB is nothing to write home about) . Just throw him the ball at the iine of scrimmage and let him do the rest. A 220 pound guy, elusive with that much speed....is gonna make something happen.

I hate to say it but this seems like a big thing and it is and shows great work ethic but if you play 5A-7A football or baseball in Alabama you are already doing those things every day. Basketball they do a lot of running some lifting but a lot of shooting.

Typical day for a high school athlete. Morning workouts 615 or 630 until 730. Eat snack or bfast. School until 7th period. 7th period is “athletics”. If off season could be more lifting, if during season you are working on plyometrics, speed and agility, then practice from 3-530.

During the summer there can be no organized stuff but somehow the gym is unlocked, workouts are available, and courts or fields don’t have locks on them for some strange reasons. I guess the kids just break into the facilities lol

Plus we have a fricking nutrition bar for athletes. Parent funded and provided. So you need to put on 10 pounds in the offseason. Come by get 2 protein shakes and a couple snack sized goldfish bags once or twice a day. In the season could have protein bars, meal replacements, almost any type of snack you could imagine from sugary to healthy. And that’s common for a lot of schools now

As Auburn fans, we have all been bitten before by this offseason workout warrior info before. Plenty of times over the years we have had a “mother of god” post for Byron Cowart flexing his muscles to Duke Williams catching balls etc. I am gonna wait until the season starts…

Imagine being that guy and his highly ranked partners coming Auburn to play with Payton Throne. For one year. Then, that program not having a big name/ talent guy to get you the ball on the second year. Nobody recruited.

Whats your plan in todays game?

I think it was very important that we brought someone in this year that was certainly the future. Someone that would get some reps, some practice with these guys. Most of those receivers are probably 3 year guys. your fist year is Throne. Seond year maybe a brand new shiny guys to start Third year?
