That's nice context compared to how I read the tweet.

Isn’t it great to have the top programs in the country to want your players instead of us recruiting a guy for a year or so and always finishing 2nd for the top guys. Yes yes I know there were rare occasions when we landing a top guy but consistently getting a player on the board the coaches want is refreshing. And not having to scramble to find a mid 3 star after you finish 2nd for who you really wanted.

We won’t get all of our top guys but we have worked on the back up plan, and the back up to the back up plan in most situations it’s seems. Refreshing

Recruiting felt like it used to finish when we got them to visit and list us in their top 5. This has been a welcomed change. Winning some > losing all

I agree with that about Juju and Cunningham.

On3 put out new rankings and its as bad as it usually is lol. Dropped Juju down to a 4* and the 7th QB. If he was committed to Oh State, bama, or UGA he would be the top ranked QB lol. I'm glad I stopped paying for that site, because I can't support a site that employees lazy scouts like Charles Power lol.

On3 rankings suck dick for the most part. You have like 2 guys ranking 1000 kids, makes no sense.

Talk about sour grapes.

#1 - Their #2 QB is committed to Missouri. I guess the argument here is that mighty Missouri is a huge cash-cow for On3, and as usual those damn Missouri recruits be getting those bumps in the rankings?

#2 - You say that if he were committed to Bama (or Ohio State) that he would be ranked #1. Going by that logic, why is Bama's QB commit ranked 6th then? Both Bama's and Ohio State's commits are ranked behind the kid who is committed to Missouri - so this statement doesn't seem to correlate with what the actual rankings are? The Bama kid just won MVP at the Elite 11 - it wouldn't be hard for them to justify a massive jump to #2 or #1.

#3 - Apart from ranking some Auburn recruits lower than you'd like, what makes Charles Power a "lazy scout" lol? Particularly in comparison to any other evaluator at Rivals, 247, etc? Would he still be "lazy" if he were ranking Auburn recruits higher?

Dont be disingenuous. You know there is a pattern of Auburn recruits getting knocked down in raking when they either sign with us, commit to us or we are the likely landing spot

It happens every year. Riddick and Perry losing their 5th star and now JuJu.

Calhoun? Do you mean Deandre Carter? I think Daniel Calhoun signed elsewhere in last year’s class. Maybe he will portal over.

Right, because you only remember the cases when someone drops. Never the opposite. Riddick and Perry weren't the only players who lost their 5th star. Walker White rose in the rankings last year. On3 had Cam Coleman ranked higher than all of the other sites.

It's such "Little Brother" behavior. I've followed recruiting for 15+ years and every one of these sites is "anti-Auburn" according to the conspiracies.

Of course what's ironic is that this entire time that the sites have allegedly been overrating Bama recruits and handing them free stars, those same recruits were dominating NCAA football. Meanwhile the "scuffed Auburn recruits who were downgraded for choosing Auburn" have produced an era of mediocrity. So how can that be the case? The actual outcome doesn't line up to the claim. Just like the claim here once again is weak: why is Bama's Elite 11 MVP QB only ranked 6th? If the claim is that Juju Lewis would be #1 if he were committed to them, why doesn't that logic apply to their current commit? Why is a Missouri commit ranked WELL ahead of their guy?

During the entire Saban era of dominance the claim was that he wasn't a good coach, he just won because they had far better players than everyone else. But then when the topic of recruiting came up, the story was always that they ranked #1 every year because the sites were colluding to inflate the ranking of anyone who signed with Bama. But you see, those two statements conflict one another. Did they have the best players, or were their players overrated as recruits? Both can't be true. And simultaneously for the Auburn signees: if we were really signing super awesome elite recruits all this time who were simply getting punished in the rankings - why didn't that reflect on the field (ie: more wins, more NFL draft picks)? Funny, I never heard much whining about the recruiting ranking of guys like Byron Cowart or Calvin Ashley - they somehow survived the dreaded Auburn-drop? Neither of those two were even good players, lol.

Juju fall in the rankings isn’t a surprise. They are using the camp circuit for evaluation. Juju has great accuracy. He misses a lot of the other intangibles from a physical standpoint that the scouts are looking at. Granted On3’s ratings are all over the place. 247 is still by far the best ranking site but as a fan you can find things to whine about from all of them. 247 has Shull as a 3 star.

Zavion Hardy is the number one ranked JC def lineman.

You guys should check out his highlight tape, its high school. But this guy is a DL. He is on kickoff coverage, the return guy breaks loose and Hardy chases this guy for 50 yards and tackles him, what a friggin beast.

Regarding receivers if, if, if Juju comes, Alan Head said keep a close eye on CJ wiley out of ga. He said they have been friends since childhood and their fathers know each other as well, said that could be one of the guys his dad was thinking about when he said he would bring some fellas with him. I know he is committed to FSU, but that doesnt mean much these days.

Don’t be a dumbass. We get many more bumps then we get drops over the years. So has Bama so has UGA UF… any team with a huge fanbase. And Auburn is no different

And how has he done in camp settings this year? Juju has been way better than him.

As you just said, the bama kid won the elite 11.. it wasn't deserved, it got handed to him. There we're 4-5 QBs better than him.

The part where he admitted to boosting rankings based on the schools people commit to.

He's had very good camps, better than a lot of the people above him. Underwood has been ranked 1 forever and has barely hit the camp circuit this year and skipped elite 11 entirely. There's no rhyme or reason, they just use different excuses for different players when its convenient.
