Thanks Smuphy! Two players I really hope excel are Jackson Arnold and Perry Thompson. Get the naysayers to quiet a bit, probably happen before halftime a week from Friday

OT but curious.

On one of the Auburn Live shows JLee said something about Demonta and his recruitment, touched on something, maybe NIL related, and said "I dont want to get into that but what an outstanding young man regarding that situation".

Anyone have any idea what he was talking about?

Didn’t he cover the costs of tuition for a walk on or something?

Wasn't Waller flip-flopping between us and Florida right up til signing day?

I could be way wrong but I think I remember him being one that nobody was really sure up until he actually signed with us.

He didn't flip flop. He & Amaris Williams were Florida commits that flipped, but they never flopped.

Not publicly. I may be thinking about Williams instead of Waller. I just remember some of the recruiting guys watching it really close the last couple of weeks and nobody was really confident on signing day.

His only real gripe was Jackson bangs on to the ball a little too long on deep balls waiting for the WR to get a lot of separation which doesn’t happen a lot with our defense.

We saw waaaay too much of that the past 2 years. Hopefully he learns to let it loose, and let the WRs make a play.

Getting to go to practice today with a former player. Think it’s closed to media so not sure if I’ll be under a gag order, but will report back what I can.

Pretty short practice, mainly just situational things - player substitutions on/off field, special team transitions, and walk thrus.

Biggest takeaway was Mr. Jackson Arnold was the only QB to see the field.

College Football Live talking up Connor Lew saying he should’ve made the ESPN top 100 player list for this season

Interesting. They must be into game prep now.

Idk how much of it is rat poison but the reports on3 and others have put out saying Auburn is gonna win 9 games this year got me ready for next Friday. Kinda sad to think 9 games would make me pretty happy but at the same time after the last ten years or so I’ll take that right now as a floor.

Team hasn't won more than 7 in like 5 years..... We would probably treat this like our 10th title at this point lol

AU defensive PI and 3rd and longs go together like peas and carrots.

As do “false start penalties “and “inside the red zone”

Sure hope that improves over last season. So many missed opportunities as as result of a failure to maintain discipline …. they seemed to happen at the worst moments in crucial drives
