looks like it's done. I think Arky goes after Oats. I don't see how Oats turns it down?

USCe women win the National Title again.

What’s interesting is they have been the most dominant program the past 6-7 years and Staley plays 10 and the team leaders average about 27 minutes a game.

Sound familiar?

Assuming you mean UK goes after Oats, I'd agree. No way he could turn them down.

Is there a chance Tre is back?

Talked to him at the baseball game Friday evening and he said there is a good chance he's back next year.

It’s such a better experience compared to Beard-Eaves

I bet it is- I’ve been inside during football season- I can imagine how loud it gets.

Beard-Eaves was/is a cavern. That said- 98-99 and 99-00 as a student was a blast. It got rocking those years.

Oats is a good coach but this is UK. They'll call a few longshots like Billy Donovan, Hurley and Jay Wright but their top choice has to be Scott Drew at Baylor. He's won a NC and been consistently good at a place without much tradition.

I agree. I think they shoot their shot at the three you named. Not sure they land any of them but I think they start there. Drew and Oats are both guys that I think jump at the chance if offered though.

It will be Scott Drew. That’s who the fans want.

If I’m hiring I reach out to Jay Wright and make him say no before tho. When he retired I thought he was the best college coach in basketball

Bruce has not demonstrated the ability to make multiple deep runs in the tourney.

That is the only reason they fired Cal.

Think.

I’m sure he has some interest. Just like I’m sure he’s going to use every big opening as leverage, especially when we are lacking in NIL and facilities. I’d be surprised if UK did though unless they missed on several guys.

I know about the proposed practice facility being a need but are we lacking in other areas compared to others?

Practice facility is the only real thing, but it's probably the most important. Guys are limited on when they can even go shoot on their own. The big dogs have their own where if a guy wanted to go get up shots at 3am he could. I believe it's Houston or Louisville that has their dorms connected to their basketball facility.

I love basketball but we are a football school and that is where the main dollars will be spent. Same with NIL. There is only so much $$$ donated and the NIL account has to be refilled every yr.
