No other way to put it other then we are getting the shite kicked out of us on the trail. What’s crazy this season doesn’t even scare me. The 23 season is gonna be a train wreck of epic proportions. And we all see it coming.

Vizzina was ours to lose. We run an offense catered to his skill set and it was like we didn't even push hard for him. Infuriating.

Oregon just landed a 5* QB. The "Harsin is new and hasn't recruited this region" excuse is long gone. Lanning is 35, a defensive coordinator, the PAC is in a death spiral and he is still better than this clown we have.

Harsin will be gone by Jan 1st. Hopefully not too much damage is done by then.

If we can win 8 games i can see some of these kids that went elsewhere due to the stability issues being pushed by rivals coming back. Big if with the OL and Wr deficiency but I'm going to try to stay as positive as I can.

I have to believe much of the problem is NIL money. We have quite an alumni base but many want to give money to the university, or their school not football. Those that do want to contribute to football, we have asked them to spend 90 million on a building and that will fix it, okay. Then spend another 20 mil or so to get rid of Gus that will fix it, okay. And then NIL comes through and all the other programs flush with cash are loading up, and we are going back to the well a 3rd time asking for more. A tough ask, and our program is showing it.

I agree to an extent, I've long thought NIL would be a problem for Auburn but it's not really hurting Clemson and there's no way they have that much more money than us.

The original NIL at Auburn definitely was a problem. Wanting whatever it was $2500 a year in an economic decline.
Other school and I think Auburn have a better idea on the collective.
Auburn has 600,000 alumni still alive. You should reach out to each for $100. 500,000 would probably answer the call plus many would give more. That gets you to $50m a year. You could also make it known to sidewalk fans as well and ask them to donate. I do not want a football roster that is worth $50 million or even split out over other sports as well but it would be a good start to a collective.
NIL gives me a headache just thinking about a player making $1 million a year. Death of all but about 25-30 teams

I’m sure part of it is how much money we’ve had to spend on football over the last decade just around coaching changes. Our big money people have had to fork over a ton (not that they weren’t responsible to some degree for it). While we have plenty of money, that well isn’t limitless at all times. I think we are seeing that.

You have too high hopes. It's already expensive enough to go to games and you think folks will donate $100 for a football player?

At this point, are we paying for players or bloated athletic departments?

Can someone with sales/fundraising experience weigh in on whether this is realistic?
5 out of 6 alums would give money for football?
I sort of doubt that number.
I’ve given money over the years, but other than season tickets for a time, I’ve never given to football.

Only 1/3 or so of the entire student population even goes to football games on any given Saturday so to believe that 5/6 alumni care enough to donate $100 is asinine.
You’d be lucky to get 10% of alumni to even answer the phone call.

With good reason. I don't see 500,000 alumni members contributing, honestly I'd be surprised if 200,000 alumni gave anything for sports. There seems to be some that think everyone graduating from a school just has to be big supporters of that's schools sports programs. There are a lot of alumni that just do not care about sports and then there's the alumni that are also alumni (or fans) of other schools and only went to Auburn due to a specific field.

Being to the point… I don’t care if AU breaks the rules to win… you’re either on a level playing field or it’s tilted with you having zero chance of success… embrace the black hat Bc the rest of the SEC has and will continue to beat our arse like a red headed stepchild
