247 Evaluation of Air Noland 6'3" 190
quote:
A lefty that can attack all three levels of the field. Has measured roughly 6-foot-2, 190 pounds multiple times. Owns a quick, compact release that is believed to be one of the fastest –if not the fastest– in the 2024 cycle. More than comfortable on the move and has plenty of experience running RPOs out of a single-back spread attack. Will beat defenders to the sticks with his legs, and is more than creative when the pocket starts to break down, but shouldn’t be considered a run-first quarterback as he keeps his eyes downfield while working through his progressions and always seems to be looking for the home run. Came one toss away from tying a Peach State single-season record with 55 touchdown passes during a magical junior campaign in which he led his squad to a perfect 15-0 record and a AAAAAA state title. Also helped carry his school to the state finals the year prior as a first-time, full-time starter. Accurate and not one to make too many mistakes, but has benefited significantly from playing alongside plenty of Power Five talent at the prep level. Must adjust to the speed and everyday demands of big-time college football, but has the tools and mechanics to not only win games on Saturdays, but also be a true difference-maker on offense. Could suit up on Sundays one day if he keeps progressing.

Dukes says a LB from the SEC East will enter the portal soon and has Auburn as one of their top schools.
Posted on 1/13/23 at 9:25 am to TTsTowel
Pinkston said he expects us to add one more LB before spring and all of the safeties to stay safeties. There was talk a couple weeks ago about guys like Love being moved to LB but appears we are going to get enough guys to avoid this.

Trezman Marshall (uga LB) just entered the portal. This might be one to keep an eye on.

This is probably the SEC East LB Dukes talked to

This recruiting/transfer cycle since Freeze has been nothing but awesome to watch
I'm feeling really good about the future
Definitely, but I'm not jumping the shark quite yet. We are still behind lots of SEC teams and waaaaay behind Bama and UGA. Most SEC teams are doing very well at recruiting is what I'm saying.
Freeze has done an amazing job and actually recruiting the hell out of the problem units (except QB right now), and he did it on extremely short notice. We also have some great assistant coach recruiting on the staff to help.
I'm interested to see in the next year or two how he handles retaining players and how well he can recruit high school at Auburn when given a full year of recruiting.
I'm ready to get more competitive in recruiting. If Freeze proves to be a really good coach for Auburn, I'm hoping to see recruiting elevate to elite. Not sure we'll ever out recruit Bama and Georgia. To win those games, it'll come down to coaching and all the other little things that create wins.

Nolan’s highlights

Hey Corch…gives us your spin on him.
I know highlight films can make anyone look great, but that dude looks legit damn good.
Not looking like he's being sought after by the big big schools though. He looks like legit 5* star talent. Does he have some issues that might keep him from being highly sought after?

Thought the same.
I’d be interested to hear an answer to question as well.
But I have heard he’s only shown interest toward the SEC

Noland is very good, but he plays on an elite team with elite talent around him. I think his arm is only average-ish which is probably why he's behind some other guys in terms of interest.

Crocodile has been keeping up with recruiting and has been right on the Nick of things just by following our coaches and admin follows on Twitter

For example he said Trovon just followed Tyson Ruffins, a 2023 lowly ranked offensive guard out of California. He looks Polynesian maybe.
Another example: he says 3 of our analysts followed Jacob Hood from Georgia.
According to JGT a while back he offered Croc a rivals job but Croc turned it down.

I think they like Walker White more than Air rn. White’s completion percentage and picks are a concern but he’s built like a college junior.

This spring and this fall practice will be crazy on the Plains. You have to believe every single position on both sides of the ball are up for grabs.
Like a brand new team, everyone playing for a position. That will be fun to watch

Not sure we know that. Freeze did visit his HS today, though. White is visiting soon but he’s also visiting about 10 other schools this month

J.Lee reporting that Austin Keys is on campus and that Virginia LB Nick Jackson MIGHT be here as well. Jackson is absurdly productive; with 100+ total tackles in each of the past three seasons. On3 has him as the #3 LB in the Portal.

For the love of all Holy.
If we pick up these 2 backers it would be an incredible portal season. Which it already has but the immediate contributors and the younger players that can be quality depth at a minimum is insane.

On3 is now projecting Nick Jackson and Austin Keys both to Auburn with 100% confidence. However, their accuracy is suspect as they had Justin Rogers to LSU over 90% with the rest to Miami and he didn’t even visit Miami.
