I'm not saying Freeze can't get to a level that could challenge UGA and Bama, but people are acting like he's already doing it. Right now he has to be worried about having enough bodies to have a 2-deep at certain positions.
There is a big difference in being able to find potentially capable warm bodies and competing with the two best programs in the country, but deep down you already know this.

I actually agree with this. Yes we had a solid end to the recruiting class and have gotten some needs in the portal but our roster is 3 years away from being in the top 4ish of the SEC.
The success we've had lately under Freeze raises our floor but not sure how much it increases our ceiling currently. Should make us at least around or above the rosters at Ole Miss and MSU. That's how bad our last 2 classes were.

Please show me where I said the job is done? I think me saying give it a year insinuates there is work to be done. To say what Freeze has done since getting hired is anything short of remarkable, given the circumstances, is foolish

Reality is pretty much every successful SEC head coach is winning the division, or the outright title, within their first 2 or 3 years on the job.
That’s the bar for Freeze… the portal makes it easier than ever, but we’ll see.

I almost put in my last post we need to be more worried about catching up with UT, Ole Miss, Ark etc... right now than being worried about UGA and Bama

Well to be fair you said after my first post which was in response to you saying "if Freeze keeps recruiting like this", which to me implies he is already doing it.

This is correct. If your coach doesn’t do something big by year two, the chances are very great they never will.

Something is being done to get us from where we were to where we are, right? With a complete year to put into the next class, with this level of effort, results will be better...we aren't behind the 8 ball. 2, 3, and more years out even more so. To think he is going to land a top 5 class in 4 weeks is stupid.

I take your comment to mean sustained success in the new age of CFB and not just one season like Chiz/Gus. If you have to go back to 2000 I think you’re reaching - the landscape was much more different.

I would say judge the roster and if we have a competent QB by year 3. 2 years isnt enough time to build from high school. That should be your judge if we are on any type of championship trajectory.

I don't know anything about the guy but if he can start that huge just from the standpoint of giving Lew a year to redshirt and get a little bigger.
