So what?

Should we bring in more like Finley and Calzada? Settle down, if you haven’t learned Freeze has a good handle on how to recruit and portal than you are just a salty dog looking to bitch.

They have been extremely tight lipped about what they are trying to do there - with the implication being that they are recruiting someone who has yet to enter the portal.
Seems to be story line the whole time.

One year of eligibility left. Position of need for sure.

Rumors there is a QB not in the portal that has shown interest. Has a game left to watch from the sidelines.

Not really. After McCall and Leary, they really haven't been committed to anyone actually in the portal. Sanders/Armstrong always looked like guys they'd take if they felt they couldn't swing a move elsewhere.

Vandergriff
This would be a big get… I couldn’t imagine why Sanders would go to OM with a starting QB returning but this would actually make some sense.

At that point being in a stud WR and from there it’s depth/competition.

What a recruiting job by this staff….

If it true we haven't offered then it's not like he has much choice. I don't see why he would go sit behind Dart.

We were labeled the top place for a QB to go this year and still don't have one to talk about. We should have a good line but we are lacking a star WR. If I were a top QB that would be the 3rd thing to look at on my list (behind coaches and OLine).

Concerning Vandergriff, They really cannot keep all of them. Beck a RSo will be QB1 and Stockton is Fr along with Fandergriff. One of two between Vandergriff and Stockton will have to leave

We will get a QB at some point I hope the next one to drop is Rogers from UK. Need a starting NT so Jayson Jones can move to backup role.

Where I think we stand with needs for this seasons roster.

1 QB
1 bigger WR 6’2” or taller
1 IOL probably needs to be center
1 OT
1 safety
1-2 OLB
1 NT

That’s 8 players I think we have around 6-7 spots available. That’s without expected attrition after spring

I bet we’re done at OT, done at safety, take 1 more LB, 1 more edge, maybe 1 more DT/NT, 1-2 IOL, QB, the WR from Hawaii, and maybe a RB this summer.

My goodness if Hugh can pull off grabbing Vandergriff I can’t help but get my hopes up.

Mr Freeze is being very calculated. Establish an experienced O Line and then sell that to a higher end QB. WR’s will follow. Love it
