I agree with you. I'm just saying he got pushed up the depth chart for that game due to injuries. Just an additional detail that he didn't do much in the game.

Oh, for frick’s sake.

You don’t win in the SEC with 12 and 13 personnel and VERY limited athleticism out wide, while your OL is mediocre at best.

Sure, you could do that if you had the talent of Georgia or Alabama, but have you seen our roster?

Also, we are in the year 2022. You have to have athletes and you need some sort of a wide open offense to compete.

Myron Burton winning MVP and quitting months later to start his modeling career did it for me, I think.
Yeah, that was one of the most bizarre things I’ve seen ever happen with an Auburn sporting team.

We have good WR just not many. After you goob out maybe you'll realize there are formations and plays in football, often not involving WR's. This is going to happen whether you like it or not. We are going to be TE heavy on offense.

Who are these good WR?

There’s not a guy on our current roster, incoming freshmen not counted, that will be drafted.

This is by far the weakest WR room I remember Auburn having from 2001-present.

We have fine, serviceable WR's and probably four TE's that are NFL players. Its a unique offensive approach. Only a couple of teams in the country do this and that is what we are going to do. Our TE's will lead the day on receptions and yards.

Alpine, pass the sauce.

Nobody wants what you’re selling about the 14 man fronts either. As far as I’m concerned 13 and 14 man fronts are the devil. And STFU about Utah.

You have to win the line of scrimmage to play 12 and 13 personnel.

Also please list the 4 NFL TE’s we have. Shenker is our best and he isn’t NFL material without great improvement this year.

Yeah, that statement in itself was pretty absurd.

We've only had ~4.5 guys play: Shenker, Fromm, Deal, Frazier, and King (who is now more of a WR and shouldn't be counted).

So he's saying that literally all of them are NFL players? I mean, I don't think the absurdity of that needs to be explained.

The TE group is legitimately the best position group on offense, but the idea that we somehow have it set-up so well that we don't need WR's is hilarious. This offense is dangerously close to not being able to score points at all, considering that we still have no proven answer at QB.

Don’t need WRs with our QBs is a better argument

No, The TE's are going to bring what we need at the role but will degrade if called upon to be the main passing targets, and WR is a real need because serviceable won't win a lot of games. We need a dynamic duo at WR to compete in today's game, or one dynamic and one NFL ready.

You have to have a strong middle to deep passing game to open up the running attack.
