Some will sign papers and then sign with their teammates later. IMHO only early enrollees should be able to sign in December.

More players will enter the portal after bowl season, tomorrow is not the end, but the beginning.

The first couple of times were amusing, now you’re just being a prick and lame.

frick off already. At least Randy is consistent. You’re just antagonistic but will jump on the bandwagon should it start winning.

That was my original point - some will sign and announce later. Although, there are probably a few that will defer to NSD.

I have no problems with December being only for early enrollees. And actually, I’d prefer going back to NSD altogether.

I mean they are undefeated and in the playoffs... he knows he will have talent around him at GA. It's a more sure bet. If he comes here and Ashford is the starter we may be running a very zone read focused offense. They also arguably don't have a clear #1 "go-to" WR - it's honestly probably the TE Bowers (who is a beast in fairness).

Kirby vs. Freeze - Freeze is a known offensive mind but GA averaged 285yds/game passing this year
GA QB vs. Ashford - You know GA has talent or will grab it in the portal. Ashford is known to be inaccurate
Oline - GA guaranteed to have talent Auburn rebuilding

Oh? You know that for a fact? They have just as many questions at QB as Auburn. Probably more.

I’m sure he also was shown our WRs that couldn’t get open and all the drops from when Ashford put it on the money too. Hell, Koy Moore would’ve had 100+ yards receiving himself against uat, if he could catch.

Stetson Bennett is 2nd in the SEC this season with 395 pass attempts. The rationale that they don't throw the football just isn't accurate.

More importantly, UGA runs a pro-oriented offense and all of their QB's are pass-first guys. Both Beck and Vandagriff have sat there for multiple years and the roster is stacked regardless. They are the #1 team in the country over the past two seasons.

What you need to understand is that Ashford did nothing this past season to entice any WR into imagining playing for him. Any positive moment that Ashford had, came from him running or scrambling around. His passing metrics are all well below average. So what you need to understand is that while the UGA guys are "unproven", they also aren't proven to be athletes trying to play QB...which is what Ashford is right now.

Yep, Ashford doesn’t emit a warm fuzzy feeling to WR’s looking to improve their NIL, but more importantly, improve their stats and body of work for the NFL.

You need to wipe the orange and blue off your glasses because this is a pretty homerish take. GA has a young 4 star and a young 5 star pocket passing QBs on the bench behind a heisman finalist. We lost our starting QB to the portal and have a known inaccurate passer slated to start.

I want RaRa also but strongly believe we need to get a top QB transfer to pull him.

I'm not out on Ashford but man I sure hope we can bring in some kind of insurance. Heck, just a Calzada level guy would make me feel a lot better.

Absolutely. Came here to say this exact thing. I think the potential of Robby is exciting and he has a high ceiling. But we have seen his floor can be super low and his inconsistency is maddening. We really need someone else to come in. We can’t put all of our eggs in the Robby basket for next year. If we do, that’s a huge risk imo.

That are both unproven. You do know Ashford was a high 4* coming out of high too right? Also, I’d just about guarantee they’re going to lose one of those guys soon.

Our QB that transferred was pretty inaccurate too. Then he got a better Oline and better WRs. Guess what? His numbers improved drastically.

We need a transfer QB for depth if nothing else.

No, he wasn't. You guys do know this information is readily available on the Internets right?

Neither. Sounds like he’ll possibly sign tomorrow and announce later with teammates at a ceremony. KN says he may announce tomorrow anyway.

This is next level delusion.

Robby Ashford was running 3rd or 4th string at Oregon. He transferred here and couldn't beat out TJ Finley for the starting job. In fact, he wouldn't have even played this season had Calzada not re-injured himself in a freak off-field incident.

You need to understand that it took lots of things going wrong for Ashford to even get on the field this past season. He didn't actually get onto the field because he amazed anyone in practice or beat out anyone. He became a better option than Finley because he could at least run around, but understand that Finley was and still is a better passer. The offense was simply so bad that the best we could do was trying a 1950's style attack with Ashford/Tank/Hunter running 70% of the time.

The fact that you just tried to compare Ashford to Bo Nix is absurd. Bo Nix went to Oregon and immediately beat out all of the guys that Ashford couldn't pass on the depth chart. Bo Nix had multiple years of SEC experience wherein he showed to be CLEARLY better than Ashford as as passer. It's not even close, if you think it is then you are just lying to yourself.

I think he was a high 4* before dropping But yeah, 3* on 247 and Rivals. ESPN kept him high enough to be a composite 4*, but toward the lower end
