Locked On guys saying some surprise visitors coming in this weekend that are trying to keep it on the down low. I’m guessing guys that are committed elsewhere.

Did they give everyone a list of the players coming that can't be shared?

On our local Auburn sports show, one of the guys happens to be a retired high school coach and has a friend on the football staff. Not a coach.
He asked the friend what was Hugh's daily routine like. He said I don't know, I haven't seen him.
Hugh hasn't been in the parking lot enough yet for people to catch a glimpse of him.

I don't think anyone expects flips of 5* recruits a few weeks into his head coaching tenure.

Next year, he will be judged on the class he brings in. 3*s can be coached to be 5*s and 5*s can be coached to be 7*s

Watson was never coming to Auburn. Dabo had recruited him from like the 9th grade. Clemson coaches taught Gainesville High their offense just so DeShaun would be familiar running it years before he got on campus.

surprise visitors, silent commits and super secret flips are still the currency of these recruiting “insiders” I see.

While true,

War blogle is still a dick so we rather say he ran him off.

I didnt know people actually believed he ran Watson off.

I don't think it's fair to judge him on not getting the big "recruits" (ie 4*/5* composite players). We can talk all day about how "3-star athletes can't build the program" and what not, but this envoirment here at AU is still new to Freeze and it looks like he's willing to gel things together. I think we'll be alright, y'all just need to give him time and not get mad that he isn't getting the 4/5-stars...yet. Patience is a big key in this recruiting cycle

It may not be this cycle but it will be soon. He will need to land blue chip guys for us to compete at the level for what he was brought in to do. '

We wont compete without big talent at RB,DL and in key areas. But for now, its triage.

Silent commits are pretty routine and unannounced visits typically are aswell.

But probably not on the big recruiting weekends.
Pretty tough to hide kids if you’re doing a good job showing them around

It really isn't going to help if you are sneaking them around and they aren't getting the full experience. It can't be fun being treated like a fugitive for a weekend. I guess they got a special group of trusted people for them to party with indoors.

I think usually when they’re kept under wraps/ labeled secret they’re just coming to meet with coaches in the complex and heading out.

I do think some sites abuse the term in situations where they aren’t sure if someone is visiting or want to keep viewers around on an otherwise mundane coverage weekend
