That rumor hasn’t come from anyone that would know anything, literally started as a guess and now is labeled a rumor lol.

It came from cookedw on the bunker they said they heard it from someone. Is cookedw not someone who would know? I thought he, rejects, and roadrunner were some of the in the know posters.

I know either rejects or roadrunner responded that they had heard the same and that Grimes would be more of a CEO HC and let the coordinators run the offense/defense

Somehow, someway, we forget that rumors around Auburn coaching changes are rarely true or complete. Not sure why it would be any different now than 2 years ago or any of the other times before that.

there's a rumor that if Grimes is hired that Brian Hartline will be his choice for OC

The rumor is also that Eric Mateos would come with Grimes to be the OL coach. Who UGA tried to hire in the offseason

No thanks to the Baylor staff coming over from 3-3 Baylor

Haha one of the most respected OL coaches in the business you’d say no to.

That’s cool. I think Grimes would be about as good as any of the others.

Under normal circumstances maybe. To spend $40 million to hire a 3-3 OC who's been a career OL coach just sounds underwhelming

Yeah I heard that on the on3 show JLee, Pink, and Keith do, someone thinks he might get a look at Baylor's OC if Grimes leaves

Auburn will visit 4* LBs Arion Carter and Stanquan Clark this week. Carter is committed to Memphis, Clark to Louisville. Both appear to have their recruiting wide open

The staff in general will be on the move all week.

NIL has a lot of guys committed early to places. Auburn has done well on some those guys so far. It’s definitely weird

Speaking of, 4* OT Stanton Ramil is generating buzz across the AU paysites. Looks like he’s also now a strong flip candidate

I don't understand why recruiting is picking up assuming we are firing Harsin. Not saying we close on these guys, but it is just weird

Gotta be, in part, NIL finally moving. Because otherwise it doesn’t really line up

I’m not sure the certainty of Harsin being fired exists outside the fanbase.

I will say the calculus for this changes a lot if the current players and recruits continue to believe in Harsin and play hard for him.

Some of the reasons we fired Chizik were that the team truly gave up after the LSU game.

If the players keep playing hard and Harsin is able to get competent OL on campus he might survive another year.

I think it exists everywhere except in the football complex. It seems like every time Auburn is brought up in the media lately it’s with the assumption that Harsin is out.

Harsin is probably back for 2023. Might as well get used to losing.

Who is the Kansas juco Harsin is seeing?
