Dead last any year is, IMO. Two notes, though. Obviously, this is his second class. He was hired well after ESD when Gus was fired. Which means your opportunity to do much with a class is gone. Especially since those kids in that class couldn’t visit campus because of Covid.
The second point, which still gets lost, is that Auburn’s class will never finish last. The current rankings are pretty meaningless, good or bad. Trust me — in the future if we ever recruit well under any coach, I’ll remind you guys that our top 5 class in September means nothing yet as well
I’m not pointing out all of this to be petty or correct small issues. I am, however, pointing out what I did last year. Auburn is probably going to finish middle of the pack again. And that’s bad news for Auburn. Don’t let the last place recruiting talk now lull you into being satisfied in December when the class is ranked 7th in the conference

You make a good point on we won't finish last, but there isn't really a difference between 10th and 14th. I get he wasn't responsible for the ranking in his first year. However, Harsin has had three classes to network with HS coaches and players and we are lagging well behind. Him being a new hire is no longer a valid excuse.

Agree with all of the above. I’m not defending him.
I think when portrayed accurately and fairly, it’s still really bad. And that’s cause for serious concern I think.
Obviously this class is not signed and could improve. I’m having trouble seeing that pathway, though. Especially as it appears that on the field performance will once again be a barrier for us

Not to mention how easy it is for 13 other schools to negatively recruit us right now.

I still count it as his 3rd year even tho he hadn’t settled in. He had plenty of time to figure out where holes were in the roster after being hired and hit the portal and sway a couple high school kids. So I basically say he’s in his 2.5 year recruiting. I understand it’s difficult but there were kids out there in the late signing period after he was hired.
Either way and regardless of negative recruiting it’s difficult to finish outside of the top 20 at Auburn.

We don’t know why he de committed but the negativity and calls for CBH to get fired on this board don’t help. What happened in spring created a waive of negative recruiting but the vocal negativity from a few is adding to it. If you truly support Auburn support the coach. Let the man do his job and see how the season go. Or go support another school

Right?
Apparently recruits don't watch or follow the games at all. They base their decisions around who's saying the most mean things about their coach online.
You think this kid decommitted because of internet posts? Or because of the fact that after two cupcake games this offense looks no better than it did last season. You think he's impressed by what we have going on with TJ Finley at QB? The receivers are still catching ~2-3 passes a game each (if that!)

Not saying that. Im very disappointed and don’t believe TJ is the guy. But I do think CBH is a good coach who has been damaged by the spring shenanigans. Not to mention most think ZC reinjured his shoulder. Im willing to see how this yr goes and Im going to stay positive. Even in our championship season we had close calls. We just have to win.

Our fans believe we are the only fanbase who makes negative comments online.

No, “most” don’t think this.

I've already convinced myself that the Boise band is backdooring a way to take over Nebraska

Harsin and Frost have scary similarities even if if you wanted to get into physique or athleticism. I don’t think Nebraska would want to touch Harsin but I’ve seen their list of candidates and they’re delusional.

All lists at this point are pure speculation. Anyone who writes an article about this is basically told to put a list of names in the article by their editor.
BUT, they're also the first Big Ten school to be making a hire since their new TV deal was announced, and with the amount of money each school is going to be brining in via said deal, they'll have plenty of money to spend on a candidate.
They're essentially going to be hiring their next head coach via a fancy loan.

I bet you also think the AD of a school comes on here to see what coaching candidates they should hire too

What a dim whit comment by him. He really believes a kid takes into account what a bunch of jackasses like all of say online when deciding where to master his craft to have a shot at millions in the NFL. We have some fans that are a special kind of stupid.
Talk about overestimating anyone at Auburn giving a single shite about what any of us say
