I don't believe that. He also said in the past Auburn didn't recruit him

He said something happened. Auburn wasn’t allowed to recruit him. Bama is to blame.

On To Victory has surpassed its first year goal of 10 Million in just over a month. We could be competing pretty heavily where NIL money is concerned with that kind of result. Promising news

Looks like NIL can’t be used as a crutch for subpar recruiting anymore. Let’s see what these coaches can do now.

Definitely encouraging news. This should pay dividends for 2024 class which is currently in good shape.

I don’t know if Hars is the answer, and I don’t know if I’m fully on board yet but we have to have god damn stability to get a recruit. For that reason alone I think we are gonna be with Hars for a couple years, and hopefully this NIL will help his recruiting efforts.

Rocky will find a crutch for Harsin. Don’t you worry about that. Even if it’s only evill fans sharing articles.

Yep 3 year plan was 30 million over 3 years from On to Victory.

Raised 10 million in 1 month without the subscription service even set up yet.

Like I said prior if we lose Smith and Russaw to anyone it won't be because we got outbid.

Yeah, whatever stumbling out of the blocks the NIL might have been early on, seems to be on the right track now. Like I said when I posted it, where NIL is concerned it won’t be a perceived issue moving forward. I say perceived because I have no idea if it was to begin with for sure, but it seems like it was weak.

Now Harsin and the staff need to do the rest. It’s a very positive result on their initial drive and I didn’t know that was minus the subscription aspect. That is damn exciting really.

That is a good point.

Did anyone get to hear Tom Luginbill talk about his NIL app on Full Ride this week?

Said it goes directly to the player. I haven’t seen the specifics and don’t know if it’s him trying to cash in on the NIL deal (My first thought is just him cashing in). I am not sure if 100% goes to the player with an added fee, if there is a portion held for administrative costs, or if it’s free all the way around?

That was partly the story going around at the time. I thought it had something to do with Trooper or Luper or someone on staff contacting him in a dead period and we had to agree not to pursue any longer. I guess bama blew the whistle on us.

You don’t think Alabama and Nick Saban would pull something like that?

Did you watch the same recruitments through the years that I watched?

Reuben Foster?
Cyrus Kouandjio?
TJ Yeldon?
Brent Calloway?

Do I need to continue?

More like you were one of the posters spreading all the stories and rumors about Harsin and the program. The media thanks you. It was quite ironic you made that point.

LMAO!

I was spreading the stories about an ongoing investigation that was actually happening. This is a message board, is it not? Do you think it's noteworthy and worth discussing an actual investigation that was taking place? If you actually used your brain for a minute, you'd know that I never once centered my discussion about any of the fluff around that entire saga (ie: the girl).

Things that actually happened: certain coaches made complaints, certain players made complains, and certain employees within the football complex made complaints.

You and other loser fans on the other hand LOVE to spread nonsense crackpot theories about "boosters meddling", "dysfunctional Auburn", "unrealistic expectations", etc. without an ounce of hard proof. This is TMZ-esque gossip which is what the media actually loves to eat up and smear Auburn with. You have no idea what Jimmy Rane is or isn't doing, but rest assured that any time the HC at Auburn is failing, he somehow has his hand in it! You have Auburn fans literally suggesting that Jimmy Rane wants a headset to wear during games .

Here's the funny thing: guys like Harsin have already figured this out. That's why he went back to ESPN a second time in ~late April months after he had already been cleared to do ANOTHER public interview about how he almost got fired. The booster schtick has become such a joke that any time the HC is in trouble, all they need to do is whisper "boosters" and the fan support starts pouring in. You had the majority of the AU fanbase viewing Allan Greene as some sort of hero, because he stood on the other "side".

Rocky complaining about the negative news and rumor that come to this board is a clear sign that he’s an insecure, low T bro that can’t handle his head above the sand. And he calls others special needs. If people don’t see the irony in that then think twice about it.

Listening to a podcast with Cam Jordan, Mark Ingram, and Jameis. Jameis just said something happened and Auburn wasn’t allowed to recruit him after his sophomore year of high school. He didn’t elaborate but pretty much said Bama was behind it. They were the only school with enough power to shut Auburn out of his recruitment.

Cliffs, he showed up at Tiger Prowl, We were being very careful because of Cam.
LINK

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- Auburn stopped recruiting nationally-recognized football and baseball prospect Jaboo Winston and kept assistants Trooper Taylor and Tommy Thigpen off the road for 45 days last year due to self-imposed penalties from two NCAA secondary violations involving Tiger Prowl.

The case stemmed from impermissible contact with Winston at his high school on April 28, 2010, and briefly later that evening in Pelham involving Thigpen and a booster at a fan event. Tiger Prowl was a high-profile event Auburn used to stage to attract interest from fans and recruits as coaches criss-crossed the state in style.

fat fingers checking in...

It's again hard to separate fact from narrative with your posts, which is fine. But let's not pretend you're sworn in and giving a deposition. Your screed is chock full of opinion and rumor as normal.

- Investigation? Absolutely
- Certain coaches made complaints. Mason made complaints because he got yelled at and he's a bitch in hindsight.
- Certain players made complains. Prior coach malcontents. This is normal.
- Certain employees within the football complex made complaints. No idea here. Harsin may have yelled at them too. The horror.
- I've personally never said anything about Rane or other boosters with respect to Harsin. Rane does, however, have a documented track record with Tubs and Chizik. He was on the sidelines talking to Chizik during games on several occasions. During games. That's all but wearing a headset.

I get it. You don't like Harsin. I do and would like for him to succeed.

(edit) To keep this recruiting-related , Hopkins seems to be the next AU commitment.

He didn’t even intermingle opinion to what y’all are bitching about. Yeah, he might have attached opinion but it was clear, and everyone had an opinion.
