At this point I just want to see some pace and tempo. Don’t care who plays where. What we are trying isn’t working regardless how you try to protect the defense

Who is our QB next year? What is going to make this better?

Uncle Rico would be better than what we have.

Derp, we stupid. Gus and Hugh are polar opposites.

Only things similar are they run out of the spread formation. Everything run concepts pass concepts are completely different.

Hell, just do some sweep pop passes. Anything to manufacture passing. Quick screens. Get the ball moving around quickly. CB’s are playing way off in coverage most of the time on the outside, just not letting anything deep

I have no idea who is going to be the QB but we will have better playmakers. We are probably not going to win at Ga and Bama but we could go 8-4 with some improvement.

That's improvement and would be a solid second season.

From what I understand, Freeze's concepts are written in Latin.

Gus's were written in crayon.

I like the idea too. Obviously can’t go nascar from the first snap, but we never do it to save the defense. At some point you have to take a chance and see if you can create something on offense. Defense is going to wear down eventually. At least you might can put up a few points in the process.

At least try it. What’s the harm at this point?

Watching FSU and Norvell now, we have to follow a similar template and be patient. We have to stop the coaching carousel for a few seasons and see how it turns out.

So we brought in all these transfer OL, and they obviously suck. How is recruiting going with 2024 in the OL area. I just don't see how we are any better next year, short of getting some break through player.

I mean you have big guys like Jackson that could be a blocker in the backfield. The running game is not bad. It seems like we have 4-5 plays and only 2 work. Those short intermediate routes have had success but they never get called. Thorne looks terrified at times. Robby adds a spark but teams know he's just going to run. He looks more comfortable throwing the short routes. Neither qb needs to throw further than 10 yards. Defense is more than pulling their weight but when they are on the field every 3 minutes they are gassed by the 4t quarter. Offensive play calling is straight trash. Freeze is a dumbass for not changing it up. Hes gonna fafo that what he's doing won't fly for long.

The OL doesn’t absolutely suck but for the most part they are G5 talent. Can’t power through on short yardage runs. Can’t hold the pocket especially in obvious passing downs

At this point, the OL is in a losing situation. Everyone is crashing hard on running plays and know they can blitz all put on passing plays with no real threat of a pass. Not saying they’ve been great, but they’ve been out in an awful position

A decent QB and RBs can mask some OL deficiencies. Can’t count the number of times Thorne most stood there clutching the ball multiple times… OL play RB play WR play all flow together and ours never get in any rhythm. Hard to watch for now but it will get better. This is like rock bottom from a passing stand point which is in itself hard to replicate … I hope

Yep! If Freeze has the PTB aligned and he is recruiting then I can weather the storm. If its year three and our passing offense is still weak then I will be worried

They’ve actually been solid, at least compared to what we are used to. Sounds like the plan is to take 3-4 HS OL and then fill any holes/immediate needs from the portal. Feel pretty good about how we will likely end with interior guys, but need to get better at OT.
