RandySavage, absolutely. I understand we lost guys on the backend but but wow. If Thorne could get guys wide open like Georgia had he'd look so much better.

Thorne is slow to ramp up to a run. Not bad speed when he gets going, but non-explosive start.

The game came out a lot better than I ever expected. I like the progress made.

I mean we still passed for 60 yards and at no point once they tied it up did I think we were going to win.

My biggest complaint is the utter failure on short yardage situations. Why we continued to run slow developing plays out of the shotgun I'll never understand.

The lack of pressure of third down is maddening too but our DL is just not very good. I'd have rather gone down swinging bringing pressure than letting freaking Beck pick us apart with all day to throw.

shite Thorn put where it needed to go all day. These wrs are trash

CHF has been saying this since camp. They don't (know how to) get open or separation. They break their routes off early or the wrong way. I think that is why CHF has stayed with Payton despite him not getting rid of the ball, hesitating, etc. His receivers don't know what they are doing and still can'ty get on the same page. But, that HAS to be expected, still, as frustrating as it is. Payton wasn't even here till the start of fall camp FFS. We certainly looked and played much better today than last week and at Cal. Is anyone happy? No. Did we play better and go toe to toe with #1 uga? Yes, until the very end.

ETA and as someone said, I don't think recruits will be disappointed with this game and gameday experience at JHS.

I am very optimistic about the program in general. Yeah we do have a talent gap, and it may take another year even, but I am optimistic. Great fight by the team today and loved the atmosphere and the crowd.

That DL coach isn't particularly great. DL is somthing to watch.

I joke about this, but how can we have three coaches, I think 5 OC’s (?) and the same passing attack? It is a most unfathomable.

Nobody understands the talent gap more than I do. I've got like a 20 year history on message boards complaining about and emphasizing recruiting.

That said, to throw for 110 yards in two weeks in 2023 is about more than a simple talent gap. It is an utter failure on the part of everyone involved.

Also, to not be able to gain a yard multiple times is more than a simple talent gap.
