Ok Done. they signed 16 players and then took 10 transfers. Look at the schools the transfers came from compared to where our transfers came from. All came from P5 schools except for McKenzie Milton which is a dark horse heisman hopeful.
This is how I know you're just being antipathetic.
They landed a whopping six 4-star HS recruits, with the highest ranked one coming in at just 250th nationally. A pathetically pedestrian HS class.
Their 10 transfers are 80%+ seniors and/or one-and-done players, who they attracted because they offered starting spots all over the field due to being considerably further behind where we were. Among their "P5" guys are elite talents like DJ Williams from Auburn, who's calling card is his incredibly average ability. I love how you just conveniently wash over our transfer portal players as "bodies", but yet FSU's guys are what...superstar elite gets? The best players they got, like McKenzie Milton and the kid from Georgia, are Seniors. They also landed two guys from South Carolina, a LB from Maryland who's done basically nothing, a WR from Kansas (where we landed Marcus Harris from whom I'm pretty sure you dissed because he came from Kansas). Oh, they also got a senior OL from Notre Dame who got passed up on the depth chart and wasn't going to start.
I wouldn't trade our transfer class for theirs, and more importantly, you didn't explain away their HS recruiting at all.

How about this.. Tell me 1 OL that we lead for right now. The staff originally expected Harris to commit around the same time Gordon did, but he's basically been looking any anywhere but Auburn since then. Drew Bobo is the only other guy on the board and UGA/GT we're thought to be the leaders with Kentucky making a big push right now. Thats it. Thats the whole OL board.
OL recruiting is a concern and I'm curious what their plan there is going to be as OBVIOUSLY they can't be sitting with just two targets. Harris has not committed anywhere nor is it true that he's "looking anywhere but Auburn". He visited a few schools with great OL pedigrees and obviously liked the visits, however: Oregon just landed a 5-star OT and now has 3 committed in the class, and Alabama is Alabama and hasn't and may not ever offer him. He also visited Florida State and didn't commit. The longer he stays uncommitted the more likely it is that he winds up at Auburn. So again, while it would have been nice to lock him up by now, the doom-and-gloom is unwarranted.

On the plus side, with an all new staff, you never know who will get some access to the program that may not have before.

" Just want to say one thing here about recruiting. Don't get caught up in the hype that these pay sites like Rivals and 247 are saying, the negative on the recruiting. These sites have been cut off by Harsin and it's become sour grapes. Just like the coaching search, recruiting isn't in the tanks. It's 10x more organized and run like a well oiled business now. Like the other schools we are up against. This will spill over to on and off field results here very shortly. I'd be very surprised if it didn't.
Sure Harsin and staff are behind on this class. We all knew they would be. Gus and his band of idiots left us in a bad place. OL, DL. Sure it going to be an uphill battle this year. But I'm told we are about to see some kids pull the trigger. So be patient. "
I don't know how connected this person is or isn't, but even just on its face none of this information is that surprising or even new. We'd already heard that Harsin's recruiting efforts have been professionalized. We've already been expecting a couple of commits this month. The rest is just opinion that things will get better. Seems reasonable enough.

I want to believe.
I don’t know what kind of insider he is but it does sound plausible at least and as one poster added there’s been other info to support some of it.

Why are you panicking?
Damn thread got fun and I had to go to Home Depot
Life sucks right now
I will panic tomorrow. Maybe we will sign some guys over night and we will all be happy. I just doubt it
Auburn is not exciting right now. Harsin is not Malzahn when he came in. If Harsin sucks this year, it will get worse. And I think it will.
But maybe the unicorns will help us.
Auburn board recruiting insiders be like

If 23 posted something you could 99% write it in stone. Dude was connected.
I put him on some guys in the south and he was trying to get into high school coaching. After that I never saw nor heard from him again. His Dad was a member of the AD that got let go when AD Greene came in.

I’m no insider but I am calm.
I think one day you will fill bad for being so glum and will love you some Harsin.
You’re moving to your dream location soon so lift your chin up and look to the future of righteous living in the Florida sun.
Auburn football will rise again
