Thanks and I know and maybe I should’ve asked that in a rhetorical nature.

I don't care how many great DB's we put on defense, they're going to look terrible without good dlinemen.

I think Anez Cooper was one of our potential targets left on the OL, but I think we can scratch him off the list.

quote:

There had been previous interest between Cooper and Auburn. However, LeBeaux, whose dad – Frank Warren – played for Auburn, said he has not heard from the Tiger staff since prior to the Birmingham Bowl. “It would be good if college coaches in general were just as transparent as I feel most high school coaches are,” LeBeaux said. “Don’t just disappear and go cold turkey. I think if you want to go a different direction, that’s fine. But colleges should let a kid know rather than just disappearing. I don’t think that’s good.”

Word back before the early signing period was that Auburn wasn’t talking to him much. I think his weight had been an issue for almost everyone recruiting him. Half the article is about him getting a nutritionist because he thought he was much lighter and that his scale was literally wrong

I’m guessing this coach hasn’t had a lot of SEC caliber guys go through the recruitment process. They’re never going to lay out their master plan to the kid that’s way down the board

Thanks. Great to hear. His tweet could have just been announcing his visit to LSU since he would have just arrived there today. Sorry to jump to the wrong conclusion, but so glad to be wrong.

Yes that’s just a tweet announcing he’s visiting. It’s actually what prompted me to say that earlier.

He did the same when he came to Auburn.

This is true, but we've also heard a few of these stories now about the staff just ghosting people.

Cooper just had a visit to Miami by the way. No clue how that went or if he's a take for them, but its interesting that Cristobal brought him in for a visit.

Oh yeah I’m not discounting the ghosting. Not the first time we’ve heard that

Miami needs OL as bad as we do. I just can’t get interested in Cooper. Any guy that’s closer to 400 than 300 as a HS senior is a red flag

I agree with you on that. I never wanted him in this class. There are plenty of guys on his level without the weight issue.

Any recruits seeing our amazing atmosphere other than Pyburn and 4* SG from Texas in 2023 class?
