I guess, I don't see what is enjoyable about deluding yourself and setting yourself up for disappointment. I also don't think I'm really that pessimistic at all, I think my thoughts are grounded in reality and generally prove to be correct. If I'm pleasantly surprised, that's great.
I'm very optimistic about our basketball team right now.

I guess I don't see what is so enjoyable about pissing on someone else's parade. I think we are in for a rough few years. However, what exactly is the point of trying to hammer that home on all the posters on this board?
Bottom line is I hope they are right and I am wrong. But some of the posters here just want to keep fighting over the same things--- things that we cannot change.
Our recruiting this year was not enough, but it was also not a total disaster. It is possible to fall in the below acceptable range and still believe the sky is not falling.

This not directed at you, as much as some others, but I honestly think some would rather the teams go down in flames and be proven right and that attitude sucks the joy out of boards like this.
And I already said it once this month, but thank God for Bruce Pearl.

This is something we can all agree on.

the people who refuse to see it.
You know there are people who might agree with you but it isn't that big of a deal in the scheme of things. This world isn't just all black and white...There is a ton of gray in this world.
With that there are people who see this current staff taking it on the chin early in order to get their methods and people in place early so that they can have success later. If the team suffers for a year or so then so be it. This coach was put in place to run his team.
This happens all of the time in Corporate America. People are put in place to right the ship as soon as they can.

Any word on the Oregon DB transfer? Has the DT from Oregon signed or is he going to follow Eason?

DJ James said he had a good visit and was impressed with Harsin and his plan. I think Etheridge and Mason are the key once again. He’ll try to visit ole miss and Miami too.
Nothing yet to suggest Jayson Jones is wanting out. Guys that want to enroll this semester are running out of time so I’m guessing he’s staying put

All great points.
I often agree with things folks are saying here but just not to the extreme that they appear to be feeling about it.
I also like the way you expressed what Harsin is doing.
88, I learned my dad flew the A4 Skyhawk and was a fairly new aircraft for the navy at the time, I remember him saying years ago.

Thanks. How did all the OL visits go?

I really wasn't trying to even say one side was right or wrong but I guess the way I worded it made it seem otherwise. I was mainly just trying to point out the reason everyone was on edge at the moment.

Not sure. Looks like I’m going to need to pick up an On3 sub because 247’s recruiting coverage is shite right now.
KN still works for 247 but he’s not really doing much on any of the sites and nobody that works there is talking about it. Hoping they can keep him but it’s not looking great

There will be those that don't go to class etc and it will be to the detriment to the university.
I for one would love to have a G League for the NFL and get back to college football and take the big money out of it. Get it back to playing and being an amateur student athlete. But those days are over.

USC QB Jaxson Dart just entered the portal...

So does that mean he thinks Caleb is going there?

I would think so - lets go get Dart.
Dart is from Utah, so would think that he and Harsin know each other to some degree from when Hars was in Boise.

After the game, a few USC reporters asked him whether or not the eye black would continue and why he wears it in the unique way.
“Oh yeah, it’ll definitely continue. I started it in high school,” Dart said. “I saw a LSU DB have it one time and I was like, man that looks really cool. And then, I’m a big Star Wars guy…Me and my friends kind of change into Anakin Skywalker. He’s got the scar. And so now, I just go out there and kind of just correlate to Anakin Skywalker (Laughs).”
