I imagine they’ll look at him. I heard he might be looking at Texas schools

Sounds like KN @247 talked to someone about Auburn’s recruiting strategy. They said they don’t think they’re concerned over recruiting service rankings. The focus is on culture and fit.
That’s not what anyone wants to hear. My take is that the staff believes that initially nailing fit and culture will lead to success on the field and top guys buying in. It could also just be bullshite. They are, after all, pursuing top guys. But it possibly explains why we’ve seen them ghost kids that Auburn fans thought could be locks.
Like anything else with a new staff — only time will tell the truth on this. But it’s something to keep in mind.

Contradicts your last theory

Maybe he fits the culture and system?

It doesn’t, you read something wrong. And it’s not my theory. It’s what KN posted

Those things don’t exclude top guys, as you’ve pointed out here. It does seem like they’re putting themselves in a better spot for 2023 kids than they’ve been able to do on 2022 guys.
As I mentioned, we have no idea if KN posting that is a way of bracing fans for the idea that 2022 could include a lot of 3*’s. We’ll have to wait and see. But it could explain why they’ve ghosted some 4* kids that Auburn should be in a good spot for.

Sorry, if I haven't understood this in the past, but what is "ghosting" mean? Somehow I missed this terminology...

KN has pointed out that several recruits have told him that the new staff hasn’t responded to texts and calls. I’ve been calling that ghosting

No jackass has ever won the Kentucky Derby. Need talent. Its not Boise State where you need to get it together for one game a year.
Auburn needs talent to compete in the SEC W

This is fine. AU will always be top 10-20 in recruiting, unless we go on a Clemson run. Development will be key. Every staff has their special sauce, so let's see what the Boise Boys can do. Gus did too and for the most part he recruited character guys capable of competing in the SEC. Lets see if we can go beyond that.

Agreed. I mostly saw it as a way of explaining why they haven’t jumped on specific guys. I still expect a class within our usual neighborhood of recruiting rankings as of right now. As always, that could change

Ahhhh....a TJ original.. sounds good. thanks...
And here we go again with posters complaining or at least being uneasy prematurely how well Harsin and Co. are handling recruiting, and the method to his madness.
It's just so early to know the end results or the whys...until then I have to be a team player I feel.

KN posted an article stating we're heavily pursuing Vandy transfer S Donovan Kaufman. According to the article it's a big blow to vandy as he was their best player. Kaufman apparently loves Mason and the rumor I've seen is he's transferring to be with Coach Mason. Who knows if the last part is true that's just what I saw someone post
