Nah, they have 5* Walker Howard coming in.
And their fans will tell you how awesome he is. Just ask em.
He was actually the one I was counting. The other guy they have is Nussmeier.. I'm expecting him to transfer too.

We made his top 8.. I think right now FSU might be the favorite. They had a visit with him yesterday.
With Clemons taking the visit to Mich though, I think we need to push as hard as we can for him.. We can't afford to get left out in the cold for a top WR this year.
Back to the conversation about taking 2 QBs yesterday. Give me Gibson over a 2nd QB 10 times out of 10. I think Rivals has him up to the #7 WR now too.

I went and did a class calculator on 247
Ausberry

Rhym
Clemons
Woodyard
Justin Williams
I think Perry is the only one that's kinda iffy but if we can pick up that group of 6 it puts us top 10 take out perry and it puts us 12th. Feeling better about recruiting

With PSU eliminated from his top 3 and Oregon not having a coach, Clemons will look at another possible option along side Auburn.
Not sure it changes much. I think Auburn is the favorite but it’s something to now watch
it just bothers me when a player keeps adding 1 more to his list.
It seems like he is settling for us, unless he can find a better option than Oregon. So he says I'll try Michigan.

Saw someone say earlier that it’s just a talent acquisition business. There’s a lot of truth to that. Especially the business part.
The other side of the Clemons story is the Agbo story. Kid gets recruited hard, OV’s, puts Auburn in his 4 top schools. Then one school fires their coach (UF), another school fires their coach (Miami), and another school backs off at the last minute (AU).
Edit: There’s no way around sounding like a dickhead in this response. So my apologies. It’s just become a transactional pursuit that usually culminates in one party (sometimes both) settling to some degree

I mean if I was a recruit I’d take every OV I had….those kids are treated like rock stars on those visits.

UF is expected to hire Corey Raymond from LSU. He’s been an elite recruiter for them for years now.
Helps us with Rhym but we were probably ahead there to begin with. What I’m now tracking is Ausberry. Napier visits him tonight and they’re trying to get him to OV this weekend.

Passing on Agbo is intriguing to say the least. I wonder what the coaches target numbers are for OL, 3 or 4 high school kids and another 3 in the portal?
The portal players will be there, but they must feel pretty confident about some of the high school kids names that have been floated out there, more so than we know.
Guess we will all find out in another week eh? Hopefully some of those are double secret commits.
