Who was it that offered some middle schooler a while back?
Saw a documentary and had a fella who did elite camps. He said there are no rules regarding scholly offers and it gives kids with big egos, huge egos when they are youngsters and get one. Asked him the earliest and he said the kid was still in the hospital, mom had just given birth.
Course the kid did have a father (I forget the name) whose dad played OL in college and years in the pros, and when he was born he weighed north of 12 pounds. By the time he graduated high school he had about 50 offers, had grown into about six foot five over 300 lbs. He took the first one and went to LSU.

Wasn't Sapp high on AU before he committed to FSU? Any chance we can get him to give us a second look? Are he and Woody close?

Les Miles and Saban both offered Dylan Moses brother when he was in 8th grade.
Not sure how good of a player he is and they were both probably just trying to do whatever to get Dylan on campus.

I haven’t seen Sapp mentioned in a while

I’d say he isn’t solid given that he decommitted several days ago. KN found out that Auburn will pursue him. Bama looks like the team to beat, though
Fegans committed to Bama. As mentioned, not surprising

JBOY said he expects Auburn to finish top 15. Maybe top 12.

I agree with him. I played around with the class calculator last week and thought about the same. Gotta win a few battles

Flying all the way to the northwest to take a look at two kids, thats what I call commitment. Hopefully they come back with the same

Maybe top 10 with Farmer Fran shitcanned and FSU continuing to suck.

I’ll believe top 15 or top 12 when I see it

Top 15 requires us to finish well still. We need to land who we’re supposed to (Woodyard, Clemons, Woody) and win some of the battles for guys like Ausberry, Williams, Dortch, Perry, and so on). Really don’t need them all either. Last years class wasn’t good and it finished 19 so 15 is reasonable but it won’t be easy.
Get a couple of guys you’re not expected to and we could nudge toward 12 but that doesn’t seem as likely right now. Just my thoughts without any blowhard drama or bullshite attached to it

Who do you have us getting in that scenario?

Clemons, Woodyard, and Woody puts us at #15 by itself.
Then you just start playing around with combinations of the 50/50 guys like Ausberry, Agbo, Welch, Perry, Williams, Dortch
Even 3* guys like Justin Williams and Anez Cooper nudge us toward 10th. That’s why these rankings are funky when you’re only at 13 guys. Plug the rest of this class in with random 3*’s and we’re near 11th today, but wouldn’t be 11th on signing day.
Anyway, I feel good with where we’re at as of now. Before June I thought we’d have a shot to be top 15 with a positive blue chip ratio in the class and I still think we get there. I also think a couple of our borderline 4* guys get the bump. Albert and Fair, namely

Woodyard is done for the year and will have surgery right now, I think.
Interesting to see how this affects his thought process for whether he sticks with commit or flips...
