KN said our top overall target has set a visit in Sept. Anybody know who it is?
Says he’s from the West Coast so Clemons?

Correct. He’ll visit for the first game of the season against Akron. When he asked about when he’d commit he said he wasn’t sure, but maybe after that game.
He’s bringing a couple of his coaches, mom, step-mom, and dad.
This, obviously, is about as good of news as you can get, IMO.

Isn't Albert on the cusp of 4*?

He’s the highest 3* in the composite. Him and Nick Cull have a .8900 rating but are a 3*. The guy above Albert is rated .8904
4* on Rivals and somehow not rated on Espn

His decision is today isn't it?

I think one of the pay sites said that Auburn has an app the players have to send NIL stuff through to get approved whereas most schools are treating it total wild west style and not keeping up with it. Personally I like that we're being proactive and not waiting for a player to do something stupid.
I can’t comment one way or the other what Harsin’s thoughts/involvement is with football players and NIL. I can tell you AU compliance is very, very involved with the NIL administration with its players. I represent a former AU athlete and had a discussion with AU compliance last week regarding NIL, and by that conversation they are attacking this behind the scenes. Whether that process limits an individuals players ability to market themselves freely, is yet to be seen, but I can assure everything that is being done is for the protection and benefit of AU athletes, and is overall a good thing.

Christian Clemente also says that Derek Mason has him tabbed to play defense.

Good deal. KN also labeled him as a safety so I’m guessing WR is out of the question

Once the composite adjusts, Auburn’s average recruit rating will be better than 7 of the top 25’s and really close to about 4-5 others. And that’s with McPherson, the #1 K, significantly dragging the average down.
Gonna have to be patient on the ranking. It’s going to come as we add guys. USCw has 9 commits, a .9204 average rating, and ranked 35th. Boston College is ranked 15th with an average rating of .8609 on 22 recruits. Just how it goes when your class comes together slowly

19th in average star ranking. Oh my.

Which is BS. If a rating service won't rate the #1 kicker a 5 star. Then they should omit kickers from their aggregate and adjust percentage accordingly.
From the outside looking in this seems to not only produce shoddy statistics, but illustrate a certain laziness to gather pertinent data. (IE: do their job)

Who is next on commit watch? Bobo? Anyone after him soon?

3* OG Drew Bobo - any day
4* S/4* PG Tre Donaldson - Aug 19
4* ATH Omari Kelley - before the season
4* WR Darius Clemons - sometime early September?
3* DT Maxie Baudoin - Early Fall/October
3* OT Eston Harris - October
FWIW, KN/247 still think Auburn likes Tre Donaldson for football and basketball, and also likes where they’re at in his recruitment. We’ll see. I’m thinking FSU.
Outside of these guys, it’s unknown right now. I imagine we’ll see names pop up here and there too so this isn’t an inclusive list

Think it was a little early for someone to post a bragging thread on the rant about our recruiting
But that’s just me
Why don’t we hold off until we’re at least top 25

As I said before they rate based on where they think someone will get drafted not on the impact of the game or what they will do in college.
But I agree either rate them based on skill or don’t rate them at all
