D.Davis throws a pretty ball but is tiny even with these HBCU’s. Not the strongest arm so don’t think he would work in the SEC but he throws a pretty ball.

He’s pretty elusive and looks to be accurate as well. He does look tiny though

Tiny and I doubt he can make the deep outs against SEC talent from lack of velocity but he looks pretty good. I’m happy for him.

Wonder if Ike is saying "You know coach, in my playin days the ole ball coach took a chance on a freshman, splitting reps until he took the reins full time. Pundits thought the ole coach was crazy putting a freshman in there, I believe the fella's name was Wuerffel, kinda worked out well for the player and the coach".

T.J. Finley will be @AuburnFootball’s starting QB, sources tell ESPN. He ended last season as the Tigers’ starter, and Bryan Harsin has been impressed with Finley’s improved command of the offense this preseason. Auburn opens its season Saturday at home against Mercer.

Harsin has always had a better relationship with the national guys than the local guys, stemming from his time at Boise, plus him freezing out the local guys upon arrival.

It's a relationship he's trying to rebuild from everything I've heard/seen.

Don't know, but On3 has been saying TJ Finley is the guy. They have said he has outperformed the other guys the entire time.

I’ve said before that TJ is a quality backup and I’ll stick with it. It’s disappointing he is starting but he’s no Neil Caudle. He has the tools and knows the offense to be a drop back passer that can win us some ballgames. He gives us about as much of a chance to win games as anybody else does on our roster.

I guess its not so much the idea that TJ is starting thats disappointing but that none of the other guys seem to have pushed him any.

It doesn’t matter. I’m not even on the team and I knew Finley was going to win the job a while ago. They knew a long time ago who was going to win the job……..heck everyone in the US did.

Very weird from Harsin to go to ESPN over the local guys, especially with all the positive spin they've put on a lot of things for him.

And someone above said hes trying to build those relationships back.. I don't think going over guys and leaking to ESPN will repair much lol.

Oh well though, least kept secret is finally out of the bag.

Not a good way to try to build that relationship.

Also weird that he didn't tell the team first. Not sure what I make of it, but its unusual.
