Good win against an NCAAT team. Auburn was also missing Chance Westry due to the knee surgery.

This team has potential to be an absolute menace on defense, especially when Westry comes back.

That’s how this team will have to win. We will not be able to shoot ourselves to victory.

I know it's not for a lack of trying to land shooters but damn, I miss having the days where we would overwhelm our opponents with a barrage of 3s for the knockout blow

First off, love seeing the stat sheet. I know it's a scrimmage and don't want to read too much into the stats but here are some items of note if I'm seeing correctly:

1. Wendell only made 4 FG attempts and not one FT in over 21 min of time? Also led the team in turn overs and assists.
2. Broome looks like he had a nice day in the paint and shot 70% from the line, that is nice for a big fella.
3. Moore making the most of his time, efficient and really nice job rebounding.
4. KD a dismal 1 for 8 but looks active defensively with 5 steals.
5. Tre like Moore was very efficient with his time on the floor and got the line. Had 4 assists to boot.
6. Dylan only shot twice, seems like the ball was getting to the paint but not a lot of production from him offensively but he did rebound well.
7. As pointed out, 3 point shooting was not good but points in the paint were over my expectation. Turn overs were way too many.

The 3 pt shooting was abysmal… but Broome and Travon were a combined 0-5… highly doubt those guys will be taking that many when actual games start…. Granted It’s still bad even if you take their attempts out.

Bruce and UAB treated the scrimmage as a real exhibition game and threw as much into the game as possible since they didn’t have to worry about it being on tape.

Getting to the line 35 times is awesome. Score indicates some of that might have been from late game fouling to stop the clock type stuff but still, great sign.

EvanMiya has Wendell Green rated the 29th best player in the country headed into the season. 5th in the SEC.

He has Broome 79th (15th in SEC) as well.

Let me add that WGJr was also added to the Bob Cousy watchlist today.

Jabari vs Kessler tonight.

He looks really good.

His guard play (except J. Green) is very erratic. No attempts to get him the ball. Just drive the ball and throw it up.

He still scored over 20 and drained 4 of 4 FT to ice the game. While starting at center.

Jabari is real.

Yep. Started at the 5 with some injuries there for the rockets and looked great. Kessler had a bleh game due to foul trouble.

Jabari did have some kind of altercation with Jalen Green on the bench. Not sure what that was about.

I didn’t watch it but sounds like Jabari was clutch and already a crucial part of their offense.
