Exactly.

Just glad we are in.

Now we can hopefully get better officiating by getting away from the corrupt SEC refs.

Matchup wise, we just need to avoid teams with experienced and talented guards. That’s why I think sweet 16 is the absolute ceiling for this team (because that’s basically everyone still remaining at that point) but maybe we can get lucky with round 1 and 2 matchups

Lol. Can’t imagine a worse half of a bracket for us.

Wild that Lunardi and Palm have such a discrepancy in seeding for us

Auburn is actually one spot higher (26) than Mich St in Kenpom (27).

They seem to be guard dominant and have a big one

Our half of the SECT bracket is pretty rough.

Yeah if we wanna win the SEC you’re talking about 4 consecutive wins in 4 days of Arky, A&M, Kentucky, Bama or UT lol

I would be happy with 1 win in the sec tournament. Would be another quad 1 win. Any of our wins would be quad 1. Not that the committee cares but 1-2 wins could move us up to around 24-25 in the NET.

I like using different metrics like net, kenpom, rpi all that but I think the committee only uses the NET unless I am mistaken.

I think we are easily a 10 currently. Probably leaning close to a 9 seed.

Couple of things we need the teams that lead their conferences in standing to hold chalk in their tournaments as well. We don’t need 3-4 teams with 10-20 records to win conference tournaments not that they would be 10 seeds but would take spots from others and make moves all around us and probably affect us.

Big Izzo fan but I think that is a thing of the past. Since 2015 they have only been out of the second round once.

Would y’all rather a 8/9 seed and have to face a 1 seed next round or a 10/11 seed and face a 2 or 3. I think I’d be fine with the 11 seed and matchup vs a 6 and then a 3..

When Berman dunked the place went wild, I couldn’t even hear myself yelling.

Either is fine.

That 7 or 6 seed could be a really good team.

Like Miami, Pitt, or St Mary’s

Any tournament win is a big win.

I've said for a few weeks I think our best bet at getting to the second weekend is to fall to 11.

Shoot it well we win most games. Struggle shooting we lose. I don't think seeding will really matter for this squad.

I'll add a caveat to that we need 3 to 4 scores not just Broome and Green. We spread it out and shoot well and get some bench points we can beat anyone.

We are a team that no one wants to draw because we’ve shown we can elevate our game and play with the best in the country. We’ve been shooting much better since the first TN game (with UK being the obvious exception). The question is can we keep that going.
