Basketball is a great sport but the refs have way too much influence, that's absolute shite. Remember when we lost a Final 4 on a less egregious example of the exact same play?

So let’s get this straight.. WG got fouled on two threes today that went uncalled and one actually ended up with UT getting a free throw out of it. Potential 7 point swing

Funny part is in the nba not only would those have been fouls but they would have been flagrant due to the new rule not giving a shooter landing space and getting under his feet

That last one was just so egregious that I can’t believe it wasn’t called. The ref was 1 yard away with the perfect angle

That was just a brutal game all around. Last two road losses sting. Both games could have been wins. Gotta figure out how to get one eventually

We simply don’t have the joes for that. We got jobbed by the refs but we put ourselves in that situation not being able to score.
We are better than the bottom half but we are pretty mediocre this year.
One of these days y’all are gonna figure out how to be Bruce fans while identifying throw away seasons earlier on.
Bruce always rebounds well so hope is still amidst.

Ncaa tournament teams are never throw away seasons for AU basketball. Are we gonna win the national championship? No, but this isn’t a throw away season. Foundation upon foundation and consistency getting to the dance is big. Especially for when Bruce hangs it up

We will probably fall out of the AP ranking but probably move up in the NET ranking which is weird.
We would have to collapse to not make the tournament. I expect to finish out the last 8 around 4-4. Be at 11-7 in conference with that and probably a 7 seed in the big dance. To miss we would have to go 2-6 or something like that in my opinion

We literally just lost to Tenn by 3 on the road while shooting like complete garbage, managing one win against AL, A&M, Tenn, or Kentucky would not be a huge upset. Those teams will all be favored in those games, but it would hardly be a gigantic surprise if we beat AL or Tenn at home.
But as long as we win 20 games we are solidly in the tournament. If we manage to lose to Mizzou, Vandy, or Ole Miss though, all bets are off.
