He is, though. He doesn't have an elite pitch. His accuracy is terrible. His career 4ish ERA is built on weaker competition. I rage when he throws slurves down the middle.

My insta feed is full of home run vids but I can’t remember the last time I saw a post about us winning a game.

The ladies take 2 of 3 from TaM. Good series ladies.
A couple of observations so far after 12 SEC games.

1. We still can’t hit
2. I think Lowe may be the only AU pitcher to win all our SEC games by end of season ??

Did Boston College break our baseball team?

No, the coaching staff did.

My baseball opinions are... not too good.

Husdon was a great player but barring a huge turnaround I don't think Greene will give Thompson much of a choice on whether to make a change. I also really prefer a more simplistic approach to hitting - like hunting fastballs taught by Sisson - rather than the Renfroe-style that Gross brings, but we've been respectable offensively this year so I don't think Greene would mandate a change there.

Most people may not know because Thompson comes off like Andy Griffith in interviews, but he is really demanding. I can't imagine he's not seriously considering changes. Sometimes (most times?) great players don't make good coaches.

Hopefully we can take that momentum into this weekend for the Battle of the Rejects series.

Rejects?

They have won 5 sec games, we have won 1. They just swept a series. We have been swept every series but 1.

I see 2 different levels of rejects...

Brad Bohannon is running circles around us in SEC play that’s for certain

Let's play 'em and see what happens.

Both programs get proper fricked by the 12 schollys and no way to mitigate that. In Alabama there's no lotto tied to education, and we don't even waive out of state tuition. There has to be some graft around that to make it illegal because it makes logical sense to do it for both programs.

I think 3 different innings we took the lead only for our pitchers to give up the lead right back.

Feel bad for the guys. And frustrating as a baseball fan.

There is just something amiss with the mental aspect of this team.

Hudson may be a shitty pitching coach. Just because you can do something really well, doesn't mean you can pass it along.

Just like great hitters sometimes are the worst hitting coaches.

I don't believe in downing Hudson, bc I don't know how he was teaching or preparing his pitchers in preseason. But it looks like he is learning on the job.
Now it's a matter of whether CBT sees it differently, or will go along w his choice and expect better results next year...

Seems like we are only interested in pitchers who can throw mid-80s.

We were up 8-5 and for whatever reason Butch decides to pull Glavine who was doing good for Skipper who got rocked the first game and he promptly gives up 2 runs to the first two batters.

8-7 in the bottom of the 7th. No outs.
