I am interested to see what happens with Benjie Franklin since we are now trying land one of these highly ranked DBs. I think Franklin is taking a few other OVs so he might not try & jump on board next weekend. Pretty sure Pruitt is hard after him too. But I am curious if he's a for sure take right now if staff wanna make sure Griffin & Joseph aren't gonna happen

All aboard the Alaimo train

Nope, not getting on board. Would be a waste of a scholarship. I would rather just lie to Joiner and then put him at TE.

Would really like another big time corner to sign up

I like Alaimo, he's a bit slow and stiff but let's be real....he won't be going out for many passes at AU
I liked the Michael Parker kid a lot more

Meh. You really can’t say that until these guys are on campus. Last year there were several folks here saying Malik Willis was a waste of a scholarship. He was our only back-up this season
Anyway, Alaimo is at a much less critical position. But his film looks legit enough. Big body for TE/HB that can catch the ball. Doubt he’s any slower than chandler cox and it’s pretty clear that’s a position they’re planning on keeping and using

This is a good one - it's got the extended mix of "Don't Let The Sun Catch You Crying"...

But can he dance on the sideline?
Which is more painful to watch, Cox trying to break an open field tackle or Sal trying to catch a football?

Will be interesting to see if Joiner, Franklin & Alaimo are takes

I will say ONE thing about NCM. He stabs the ball out of the air. He never lets it get close to his body. If slayton had NCMs hands he would be unstoppable

After re-watching a lot of games, its simple with Stidham. He mostly throws once guys are already open 1-2 steps unless it's a script throw e.g. bubble screen or go route. He doesn't throw them open much or release as they cut on the pivot point.
Some of it comes with reading a defense pre-snap and audibling, it's the next step for him but historical weaknesses in our QB coaching. A little in our WR coaching when you see them round their breaks on short routes though our smaller WRs got crisper towards the end of season and with more creative play calling later in year vice Clemson where their DBs said post game that they knew if a guy lined up in a certain spot in a certain formation, they knew the route.
I'm hopeful this progresses in off season coaching.

Unless you're watching the first UGA game, the Bama game or the A&M game, why would you do that to yourself?

Exactly. He’s not throwing people open. He didn’t do it all season. I would have thought it would have developed as he gained confidence in his WRs and the offense, but it didn’t. Not sure how you fix that.

Repetition and opening up the offense before the 5th damn game.

Okay, Im a broken record, but there is no more important position to fill now than at tackle. Next year we start Tega with limited experience and Ashley with NO experience. Behind them, Sammons and Troxell. We are one injury from musical chairs on the offensive line for another first half of the season.
Get after two of the five targets boys, Goss is a project, but the others could contribute early if forced.
